  1. Not bad at all here. Never thought the day would come when I'd get excited over a few centimetres of snow but these days you have to grab what you can! Today has been icy and the remaining snow has made paths and roads treacherous. Sun has been out all day here but hasn't melted the snow. All in all, I much prefer weather like this, cold and frosty, to the zonal stuff we've been having. So yes, it's been okay.
  2. Very icy here. Yesterday's snowfall frozen and traffic moving very slowly on the ice.
  3. Had another dusting around 4.30 today. Came down quite heavily but melted as it hit the ground. The sky is clear now and what's left of the lying snow has frozen solid. My driveway is hazardous so I dread to think what the roads are like.
  4. Well blow me. Posted here about 30 minutes ago saying we were having heavy rain .... just looked outside and it's whiteout. Yippee!
  5. Good covering this morning but after a dry day it's now raining heavily
  6. Couple of centimetres here. A good covering on grass, pavements and roads but slowly disappearing now. It was so good to wake up to a white scene out there for the first time this winter though. I'm happy!
  7. Clear and very cold. Had a sleet shower around lunchtime today which lasted all of three minutes!
  8. Sunny and dry here. Temps around the 9c mark. Doesn't feel like the cold spell is arriving anytime soon.
  9. Gale blowing here. Small branches falling off trees and loose objects flying around.
  10. Rain lashing down at 6.30am this morning. Eased a little now but winds starting to gust and gusts getting stronger as I type.
  11. Blue skies, squally rain and windy.
  12. Started off this morning lovely and bright, almost like Spring. Now though, it's cloudy and there have been a few drops of rain in the wind.
  13. Lashing it down with rain here. Very mild and the wind is just starting to get very gusty. As I type I hear something being blown across the back garden, probably a plantpot of some sort.
  14. No, March should stay where it belongs ... in Spring. The temperatures are warming up, the birds are singing and any snow that does fall usually melts after a few hours. As for September, well I'd call it a Summer month really but it properly belongs in Autumn and that's where it should stay. If we start changing the seasons around according to the weather we get, then we could call December an Autumn month the way things have been this year
  15. I'll go for 12.4, though I do suspect that it will come out slightly higher than that.
  16. Thank you for the welcome Anti-Mild and shuggee Much appreciated. I've been reading this forum for months now, since last Winter in fact. I must confess, I prefer Summer to Winter myself but judging by how busy it gets on here in the Winter there are lots of folk who prefer the colder months. I'm a bit of a novice myself when it comes to the weather but have picked up a lot of knowledge from this site. Thanks again guys!
  17. Hope I'm not butting in here as a new poster but I'll go for 14.6
