    Was gonna say that is weird when it is completely covered in the Rother Valley yet you didn't have any very weird the colder air must be travelling at a snails pace your way.

    Nothing worse than that hate the bloody stuff had a crash a few years ago due to freezing rain luckily I was going slow or my car would have been a write off will never ever drive in them conditions ever again.

    Strange when I saw the cam at top end of buxton looked white and seen other reports from people on facebook saying it was snowing.

    It is snowing in Buxton and been snowing at winking man for at least 2 hours now.

    What height are you at it is snowing in Buxton and I presume it will be snowing in the highest hills around sheffield that go up to 400-500m Asl

    I posted about an hour ago about it snowing at the Winking Man in Upper Hulme which is several miles from Buxton around 400m+ asl I suspect reports will come in from Buxton of snow soon.

    Hope so it has been incredibly frustrating so far but cant complain really when you consider the fact some places haven't had any laying snow for years that is quite hard to comprehend really.

    I live in Derbyshire even up the road above 200m there has only been a few dustings the snow has either gone to North East South West of us been so frustrating.

    Well that has to one of the most overhyped cold spells in many a year bara couple of dustings it has been let down after let down.

    Be amazed if it is anything but snow given that it is snowing on the east coast at sea level.

    Believe it when I see it never known anything like the last week it has literally been between 0 and 3c last week or so and we have only had 1 real dusting and it bloody melted within a few hours

    Was that the January where we had an epic fall of snow where there was like 2ft of snow in 1night in late January I think it was. I remember an epic snowfall 1 night when I was a kid in January where we had the mother of all snowstorms in 1 night the snow was relentless huge flakes and ended up with about 2 ft of snow in Sheffield.

    Neither do I considering it has been sleeting/snowing in the Rother Valley already.

    What a joke thought the uppers were supposed to be getting colder gone from -1.4 uppers to +1.3 uppers. And temp upto 1.5 melting the snow slowly.

    Good signs for snow I have been told it is snowing at sea level in the North East bang on the coast as well so that bodes well for falling snow for those in land all we need is the showers now.

    So frustrating there was literally heavy snow that settled literally 2 miles up the road from me the difference being about 120m in sea level just show you

    I noticed that what was it that caused that to happen i was expecting temperatures to get colder not warmer.

    Had slushy deposits of snow here unexpectedly at my height in the valley was not expecting to see anything we have had our first snowfall today which was heavy for a while.

    Was up at the very top of Ringinglow Road at around 4pm it was snowing and a temp of 0c at the very top. It is only at the very top down to the top of Cannings Plantation is where the snowline is.
