37c here in North Derbyshire for the first time ever old record obliterated.

37c here now I am starting struggle with the heat now and my fan appears to be starting to blow warm air

Wow them readings around Retford area. Retford at 101f and Babworth at 103f

Pushing 37c here on Sheffield Border my lad said it didn't feel that hot in the house went on the back garden for 10 mins and was complaining about his breathing and that is a lad that is athletic this heat really is brutal. I think somewhere in Lincs Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire border somewhere will breach 38c today I would be surprised if it wasn't breached given that some stations are showing 37c.

Just refreshed and we have hit 36c the highest temperature we have ever seen

The Pit is referring to Sheffield Weather live station which if I am right in thinking is Meersbrook/Norton way a few miles from the city centre on the hills above the city centre, you are correct though about Sheffields all time max is 35.6c that should easily go today just on the border with Sheffield we have topped 35c about half an hour ago.

35c here on the border with Sheffield in the valley we may well get to 37-38C if it carries on at this rate.

This is getting stupid now 40c in Sheffield with a real feel of 41c that is the stuff of nightmares. I am genuinely scared now

Incredibly the schools are not closing on Monday and Tuesday even though there is a danger to life warning according to my lads school they have been given guidance by the department for education that is absolutely shameful. We are forecast record tempretures at 39c and 38c over 2 days yet they are quite prepared to put people's lives in danger there are some of us that have conditions that are made 10 times worse and if it gets really bad it has the potential to make us seriously ill or kill us. If a danger to life warning from Blizzards was issued they would close the schools so I do not know what they are playing at.

I agree I can't recall 35c In my lifetime in Sheffield before the last 3 years and we have reached 35c in 2 of the last 3 years and could well surpass that this year which is crazy. Some of the charts have I have seen have shown tempretures of upto 41c that would smash the record by 6c if that was to occur.

That is incredible 44c at a height not far short of Mt Snowdon here is crazy.

That is the scary part highest I have ever seen is 35.5 according to weather station. My car was actually showing 37c where I live in North East Derbyshire last year when it hit 35c it was horrid. I can't imagine what 40c! Will feel like with reel feel being much worse.

41c on the Lincolnshire coast at midnight It is definitely trolling. That was once in a lifetime snowfall that in November 2010 we had more in that one fall of snow than we have had in the last 7 or 8 years.

Hope and pray these tempreture charts do not materialise one chart I have seen has 41c bang over me and showing 42-43c over Lincolnshire that is absolutely insane.

Nasty looking clouds before we had thunder and lightning. Yep there was thunder and a flash in Eckington.

No Sign of storms here but the lightning is off the charts in the Balkans lucky sods.

I remember seeing snow in Sheffield as a child in May cant remember what year it was exactly but i am sure it was early 90s.

Looks stormy looking towards Lincolnshire and looking at the radar looks like there is torrential rain can't see any strikes detected though.

I remember when I was at Skegness in 2019 when there was some massive storms just off the coast and over Norfolk you could see the sky lighting up from the tops of the clouds.
