Chopping and changing through the models… reminiscent of recent winters… low pressures modelled too far north…don’t think we’ll have pinned down Christmas Day until Christmas Eve… all modelling after that is eye candy… 40cm gfs 06z to 3cm 12z gfs… to be fair sunny cold frosty Christmas would be nice

Sunny cold Christmas would be great yes. At least I will be able to keep the booze on ice outside the back door .

I’m just going to say this now.

If we get systems coming in from the SW and bumping into the cold air and they don’t reach us I will be vomiting all over the Xmas table just before the starter arrives.

You are right. Fronts from the SW bumping into the block rarely if ever reach here. We  need a straight N to S aligned stalling front in an ideal world here. Too far out for any pontificating yet anyway.  My toys are in the pram ready to go though

I'm noticing one or two areas out and about where the grass is starting to turn a straw colour.

Euro 4 has very little rain or no rain (54hrs accumulation) for region.

Looks like there is going to a large difference in rainfall totals for this June between the NW and central, southeast England.

Quite often see charts along those lines posted in winter relating to snow cover and snow depths. Has been remarkably dry here for weeks now, with no real frontal rainfall on the way for at least another 6 days.
