  1. I am getting the same cycle Catch. There are some really nice big flakes about today however it is being proceeded by rain and then sleet. Stil plenty of snow cover though. At about 8 o'clock this morning it was snowing with big big flakes and that is actually what has just started happening now! How long before it turns to rain once more? I wish I was just an extra 30 metres higher up EDIT: Back to sleet/rain already
  2. Yes it certainly is Snowing at moderate intensity. Hopefully that front will either move south or stall.
  3. Still snowing here and everywhere is covered Hasn't dropped below moderate or heavy since this afternoon. There must be 3-4 inches accumulated now after the thaw earlier.
  4. I've put STV on now to see what the Batty is going to say You wonder if STV's weather people really know anything or whether they just read from script??
  5. The Glennifer Braes will have taken an absolute hammering today.
  6. The snow is properly starting to lie now on the roofs etc. We aren't even 25m asl so that is a very good sign just a shame that the snow is lighter just now however I am hoping for more tonight/tomorrow.
  7. It's snowed all day here and still is so I would think for places in the west like me we will see snow
  8. You'll need to update us on what they say! You have to download a compression software so probably better just uploading
  9. Sorry Catch I meant when it turns back to go south. I think that will be later today/tonight. Anyone clarify this in more detail?
  10. Isn't this front supposed to reload later today/tonight and the temperatures will be lower than they currently are so we should probably have our main accumulation in the near future?
  11. I wouldn't worry. It'll probably have intensified where you are whilst I am typing this.
  12. I'm wondering whether it will bypass my area later on. I stay about 10-15 miles south west of Glasgow. I am hoping I am in prime position for later on!
  13. I haven't been checking the radar since last night. I'll need to look now! When did you notice that the radar was showing the front stalling?
  14. Ahhh I see . 34 hours of snow is more exciting though so let's delude ourselves!
  15. Hi Andy, It is very widely variable. Everyone seems to have differing levels of snow however I would say the average at the moment is a few cm's and that will no doubt increase greatly in the hours to arrive.
  16. blitzen...calm down and tell us what you are trying to say. Just kidding but that was pretty funny to read I could just imagine you hammering away rapidly on your keyboard upon viewing that chart!
  17. I'm ashamed to say that I can't make that out and I'm supposed to be a Uni student Is it saying 34 hours more of snow?
  18. It looks like there are many, many hours still to go for snow and whether it is to get any heavier than is currently falling I don't know and it is probably incredibly difficult to forecast it even a couple of hours out just now. I think the real pasting could be when the front about turns and moves south again.
  19. Ok, ok I know you are jealous neighbours of the Granite CITY  So just for today you can be a city too
  20. The rumours are now fact! Only the Queen has cut short her donut making in order to help out the town of Inverness with the Royal Snowplough.
  21. Ahhh, see Catch I am all knowing and all seeing And you clearly aren't poor if you live in "ooooooooooooooo Kilmacolm!!!" Script taken from Daily Record: A man was released from custody today after an inquest into a series of Grand theft auto cases. The grounds for release were described by Chief Inspector Ross Halford: " Well, he was from Kilmacolm". Back to weather now There's a rumour circulating that the queen was spotted travelling up to the North of England to perform some polite, mannerly and inconspicuous Royal Donuts. More on this to follow.
  22. **virtual slap** NO! On a serious note i think this is just the start. From what I can see it is to get worse.
  23. Does BoyCatch go to St.C's? You must live near Whitelea I am guessing if you were cutting through the pub car park? Just a guess as that's how we got to my mate's house and he lived in Whitelea
