  1. I hate to say it but that looks a bad, bad accident. Updated and can't see much changed but snow is much heavier. Driver of the gritter is obviously out of the vehicle.
  2. you are right. I hope they are ok. On the other camera I think a lorry has over turned onto the embankment
  3. You're both welcome to one condition... you must ramp!
  4. evaporative cooling LS. It tends to be prominent at this time of year. Sky has turned orange here and totally clouded over now. The front is very near!
  5. oooh yeah It looks extremely heavy in southern scotland just now. This could be much heavier than December's fall
  6. that's the milder air pushing in that has melted it!
  7. someone has built a snowman in front of the camera at Crocketford!!
  8. Blizzard conditions! What do we think ush hour traffic will be like in Glasgow tomorrow?
  9. Why isn't anyone on the chatroom? RE: Cheggers no probably I will be looking at the borders cameras before Girvan.
  10. Hahaha I hope for the same so I don't need to go into town in the morning!
  11. that's most probably true. All you need now is HelloSnow
  12. Catch, bear this in mind; it is no coincidence that Paisley and pasting sound similar
  13. In my opinion the best snow comes from when there are ranging degrees of uncertainty. All we need is for the front to stall and we are cooking with gas!
  14. So do you feel that the GFS is over playing the milder air pushing up on Thursday? Yesterday I thought it was and it was still likely to fall as snow however it seems to push up more quickly now on this run I think.
  15. Optimistically, there is a reason why it is called the pub run
  16. Wednesday certainly looks nailed on now however I think the main question is what exactly we can expect in terms of type of precipitation after this. I would be inclined to say snow due to the snow already on the ground being condusive to lower ground temperatures/dewpoints however GFS is certainly showing it to be more marginal after Wednesday
  17. There is plenty potential for Wednesday onwards. I am looking forward to seeing how it unfolds. Chilly night tonight -4c
  18. Unbelievable that they could be that wrong however it is norotiously difficult to forecast snow quantaties as fronts can stall over certain areas due to unforseen changes to wind direction etc. Still that is shocking!
  19. Fenwick moors are always notorious for pockets of cold or heavy snow. Long time no speak  Just out of interest... your surname doesn't happen to begin with B and end with H does it?
  20. Happy Birthday . Unfortunately I am nearer the town! I don't know how long the snow went on for yesterday on the kilmacolm road but I was only driving along, didn't stop anywhere so I don't know if it became heavier or how long it lasted. Some snow was falling about 30 minutes ago in the higher end of Paisley. My Aunt Liz stays in Inverness and she was snowed in at Christmas time! She only just made it down to Surrey to see my cousin on Christmas day so she will be getting sick of all the snow
  21. That's meeee . Yes it was wet snow, especially in Port Glasgow, more solidified upon entering the mystical land that is Kilmacolm
