  1. I think the west and central Scotland are all out of luck! Enjoy the snaw easty beasties we'll be back
  2. That's only his second job LS. His full time occupation is as a Nigerian bank manager with an amazing and astoundingly fortunate investment opportunity.
  3. I think emotions should be taken out of it and we should all just perform the snow dance. Everyone knows that scientificallty it is 100% effective 60% of the time
  4. Guys I wouldn't worry at all. This is very much a nowcasting situation. The models cannot possibly accurately forecast where snow will fall. I'm sure this will twist and turn a helluva lot more in the next 12-24 hours. On another note, Sean Batty sent me a rather downhearted tweet on Twitter. I'm trying to reassure him lol https://twitter.com/Craig_Bush_1
  5. Excuse me Mr. Murr I will make my own Christmas plans thank you very much!
  6. It really is crazy, I guess the people that were moaning are of the ilk that would moan about getting a Macbook for Xmas with only 250Gb instead of 320!!
  7. Disgustingly depressing rain here. Temperature not known accurately. I miss my weather station
  8. I think it's perhaps time for a new thread
  9. I have a little inkling that it may not be a downgrade! No technical knowledge at all here folks but overall there has been a good agreement about the models in general recently.
  10. That's just the way it goes m80!
  11. It's best to take each run as it comes and see how things are developing as a general trend across the board of all the models. Earlier today there was some disagreement amongst the models. I think the general consensus though is this will most definitely be an interesting few weeks in the lead up to Christmas!
  12. And that's not even the pub run. He's been oan the whiskey early! No more for you ECM, strictly orange juice, you know what happens when you start on the spirits.
  13. To be fair it was marginal on Sunday and that ended up reasonably well!! As LSS says the snow cover which is already present makes a difference for sure.
  14. No matter what happens, what I can guarantee is that easterlies are horrifically bad for folk in the west like myself. Northerlies FTW!
  15. Fantastic LSS thanks, very interesting to see! So with the high being positioned to Scandinavia I'm estimating that means we are more likely to get an E'ly/N'El'y? Forgive me I haven't been up to date on charts and weather in the last 18-24 months
  16. I'd noticed a few weeks ago that the set up and what the charts were showing were very similar to a couple of years ago; eerily similar if I remember rightly! It would be interesting if we could could compare these side by side. I also had a look at the Snow & Ice in the Northern Hemisphere charts and noticed again that this year compared very similarly to 2010 when we were hit in November/early December time for snow. Looking really interesting for tomorrow. I was supposed to be going up to Buchanan Street tomorrow to collect email subscriptions for my business. Looks like that may have to be put off!!
  17. Unless you had a husky and a sled
  18. Ross, that's a very very good sign if you fall under the categories forecast to be hit and are of course a snow lover And it is now raining
