  1. I measured in the garden and we had 10inches, in our field and the lane there is a lot more though, blowing snow?
  2. It's been really good for us, we had a couple of inches originally and that laid with subzero temps until the big fall last sun/monday which stuck to everything as it was so cold and from that we had roughly half a foot or so which hasn't melted as temps haven't been above freezing up here, and then last night we have about 4 or so inches although coupled with the wind this didn't stick to the trees etc.
  3. A decent fall over night, 4inches looking at it, we have about 1ft of laying snow now as previous snow fall accumulation hadn't melted at all.
  4. I'd love it, i'm in touch with some people there and i had a great holiday there, a different type of french ski resort but good non the less!
  5. Yeah the Pyrenees seems to get ignored a bit, Bareges/La Mongie has had incredible amounts of snow, metre after metre.
  6. A fairly dull day today with light patchy snow until 1pm, no thaw yet everything still covered even the trees, amazing the difference height makes it's another world up here.
  7. Still below freezing here in glorious sunshine, waiting on more snow tonight up here in the Pennines.
  8. No melt where i live, we've had laying snow for the last week i think the melting has been in large towns/cities and very low down.
  9. A lot of snow here, not sure how much but it's still snowing fairly heavily and up here it is drifting pretty badly still too and no snow ploughs here just a lot of back work as i live on a private 1 in 4 lane, i need to get to bradford hospital for 8.30 too lol....should be fun!
  10. Had light and occasional slightly moderate snow for a few hours now, i live high up and i'm exposed so drifting is even happening with as little as we are currently having.
  11. Been snowing lightly here for a while now, better than nowt!
  12. Very very windy night up here, it has been pretty relentless and it's still going, Very mild too.
  13. I loved them days too and long for them so much, i love the snow we 'can' get in winter on occasion but i equally love squally rain/thunderstorms and even sometimes fog if the day is otherwise gonna clear to be sunny. However i loathe a week of rain or even more.
  14. Grand Tourmalet (Bareges-le mongie) high in the pyrenees has had lots and lots of snow, and it's a good ski resort virtually empty during the week but full of spaniards at the weekend! http://www.n-py.com/fr/hiver/grand-tourmalet/domaine-skiable/webcams.html I recommend it highly if you want good skiing without the queues.
  15. In Halifax we had snow, then sleet then snow then sleet again and i'm 250m!
  16. I live on a bigger hill now so more chance of snow, Milkybarkid where in Hudds are ya?
  17. Pennine snow drifts can be incredible! i love snow drifts, unless they block my normal road to work(over scapegoat hill)....lol.
  18. Thats way more than 3/4ft, his 4x4 will be over 5ft!
  19. Two days above 30? give me early 20's and 8ft snow drifts any day! variety is the spice of life, i love living in the pennines(near pennine ten foot drifts) as we literally get it all, the contrasts between here and near by towns and cities is incredible.
  20. Lol how often does it get beyond 30 in Leeds? Great photos, the roads were terrible this morning!
  21. It shouldn't be so bad, schools are off, roads are well quiet at the moment!
  22. Lovely heavy snow even at slightly lower levels in slawit, heavy snow falling not sure on depth mind.
