  2. Very good time lapse there! makes a change from petty forum members!
  3. February is good for snow, 1ft last february here and lots of others got a v good covering, some folks have short term memories.
  4. Yes they are all over the place at the moment, messy picture out there but at the moment an improving picture in terms of lower temps.
  5. TBH Haworth guy, it's pointless the snow tomorrow as it will melt straight away....Only really interested in long lasting snow now.
  6. A quick question, how often does the highest motorway in the UK(the M62) get shut or littered with people who cannot drive? And if it ever did get shut this is the main road to Manchester from Huddersfield. http://www.flickr.com/photos/34913852@N04/4256437569/
  7. There is a hell of a lot of snow on the Pennines, a slow thaw would be best and seems likely although there is the potential for heavy snow on the hills this weekend. This is a picture of the A640 from Manchester to Huddersfield, this is a MAIN road to Manchester...Astonishing. http://www.flickr.com/photos/34913852@N04/4256437569/
  8. Light snow for a while now, not much worth talking about tbh we have had plenty over the last few weeks to keep me happy, still feet of it about.
  9. First snow on the 20th and a good covering since, so 23 days? nice!
  10. Some real snow for you guys http://www.flickr.com/photos/34913852@N04/ Our local postie!
  11. Do you want to see big Yorkshire snow? This postie(PennineTenFootDrifts postie) takes a lot of photos around Slaithwaite and Scapegoat hill....Take a look at the A640 pic which is the main Manchester to Huddersfield road, this is for you coasties especially! http://www.flickr.co...s/34913852@N04/
  12. It will melt tomorrow though Over a foot up here and no melt yet
  13. Shnizzle here for a while this afternoon giving nice dusting, a bit more tomorrow....The top road is amazing, really deep snow up there well over a foot i would say.
  14. I came home that way tonight, very impressive up there over a foot very easily.
  15. Evening all, interesting 24hrs just gone by...Light and occasionally moderate snow(esp. this morning) it stopped at around 1pm and then around half an our or so later patchy snow and sleet started up, still a v good covering here and an even better covering up on the tops.
  16. Amazing Pennine, Some of you may know this or not know this but i live literally a few minutes down the hill and although we had an inch an' half last night what fell today at home and in Halifax didn't really settle even though it was proper snow(slight thaw on)...however down here i have 9 1/2 inches of snow in the garden on the decking but it isn't stuck to half the things as it is up the road. V snowy up the road but it is passable!
  17. A little more wintry down here too Pennine but mainly snow, dp is always below freezing and lately some more of the heavy stuff....I agree drifting is becoming a big problem up there at Scapegoat Hill now they cannot keep it clear.
  18. Are you sure Wibs got stuck in a drift or was the snow just to deep for her generally??? Nice photos OON, i feel like i've seen that hill before???
  19. Snowing nicely here too for a while, this snow seems to be just sliding diagonally down over us...like a streamer i guess.
  20. Come to the hills if you want real drifts, we already have lanes blocked and we haven't got started yet!
