The A640 is now shut up the hill, due to snow....big drifts up there anyway and good coverage from last week, will be bad.

I think it's been sleeting most of the night, snow now though. For how long though? A covering further up.

I know, i thought it would of been a messy picture although i do expect it to firm up over night. Slushy covering on the car and wall.

Yeah temp got to 0.9 and dp to 0 then it stopped and temp went up to 1.6 and dp went up to 0.6. I guess it will drop soon.

Sleet here, we did have snow for about 10mins. Another local lad, Golcar! Slawit here.

Glad you are all getting snow, We will definatly have a white christmas, 7 1/2inches of snow here and everything is still covered....Still very cold as well but not as cold as Scotland is! Merry Christmas everybody except CMD haha .....where of course i mean merry christmas to him and his family . -
Did you see the drifts up by you yesterday? Deeper than my car on the top road and further towards the motorway the whole length of open road was my cars depth covering my whole side of the road. This IS memorable, i hope your taking photos!

I think we are near that point here too now, snowing pretty heavily now....This morning I will take photos and measure my depth. Sadly i am going to Preston later today for Christmas so rest assured there will be now snow. I'm not very worried about the rise in temperatures this weekend as it looks extremely likely we will be in a north easterly come Monday. Amazing weather this is.

Morning all, still snowing a bit, we have around 2 extra inches here, Brilliant.

Evening all, back from pub, drunk, had about 1inch of snow....nice top up, 8" now, i'll measure first thing! I hope Pennine Ten Foot Drifts has drift pics from Scapegoat Hill, 2metre drifts up there on my way to work this morning.....On my side of the road haha. quality.

Snow on and off here today, got home to Slaithwaite and we have 7 inches now, amazing....Halifax has only around 3-4 inches where i work. Snow was a great surprise today. P.S, where Pennine Ten Foot Drifts lives up the road they pretty much have Ten Foot Drifts.
