A lot of laying snow in West Yorkshire, The Pennine belt getting the lions share with still a foot laying in a lot of areas, nearly no melt at all...the trees are even still white.
Has a lot of that melted now? I ask as i drove up the other side of London from the Channel Tunnel up the M11 onto the M25 and then onto the A1(M) and although it did snow going over some hills on the M11 before i got onto the M25 i saw no snow at all down there, it wasn't till after Cambridge i really saw a fair bit of snow before it was more of nothingness again until i got up into Yorkshire(South and West) where i picked up some real depth again.
I've just got home to Slawit down the hill, we've had 1 foot of laying snow....the most in Yorkshire apparently. Brilliant pics Pennine, i'll be up in the old quarry tomorrow hopefully....very little has melted and i doubt much more will.
It's amazing how up much snow there isn't up there really, around Huddersfield we have had a fair bit more(the Pennines side of Hudds) even to lower levels.
I'm just wondering if anybody could help me here, i record on my Mac using Lightsoft Weather Centre and would like to publish my weather data to a online station. Thanks, DB.
