  1. Just heard me first rumble of thunder. Me dad said its was thundering in South Sheilds way so i guess its better than nothing.
  2. Evening Nigel! Like i said in my other post its looks quite weak and decaying so i'm not expecting much of it. After such an promiceing start this morning with it being sunny then the clouds bubbled up i thought we would of seen some showers at least, instead the sun turned slightly hazy and we had wall to wall sunshine mostly which i was quite surpriced. What did look north say about the thunder tonight and tomorrow like? I would assume that there be no risk now??
  3. After had several looks at the coming cloud here i have to say its looks quite weak and decaying but who knows i guess we have to wait and see. Very dissapointed with today as i expected more than mostly wall to wall sunshine and well i bet the look north presenter this morning will feel like a right twit now by saying conditions will get worse, But we are all human so we can have our faults.
  4. You never know we may just get an heavy shower out of it. Just had a look outside and to be honest its not all that thretening but i guess its better than nothing.
  5. Cloudy and quite cold in the wind but at least the drizzle has stopped.
  6. Never recorded any thunder/lightning i'm afraid so i don't think it is. Rain is lighter here now but if i look north its seems to be pouring down.
  7. Heavy shower here now for the last 10mins. Had some hail mixed in aswell for good mesaure.
  8. I'll go for above average June of 15.4C.
  9. I'm not scared of thunderstorms at all infact get very excited when theres one about(which is not often). The only time when i get nervous when the lightning is right above your house and have the fear the house is going to get struck or 1 hit the trees in the street. I always love watching the track of the storms aswell which is quite interesting.
  10. I never even heard a thing but thats life. According to XCweather Newcastle had thunderstorm rain.
  11. I seem to notice in the graphics in the past few days that the maps looks alot of brighter than what it was. I notice that some of tours include the channel islands but for me its just not work and you miss some of Southan England out. Saying that i hope the BBC do include the channel islands in the tours as they are part of the UK. Maybe there is a solution for including the channel lslands and not missing central southen England out at the same time.
  12. Met office has actually put a weather warning for Durham so its looking good for you lot. I never expected too much from this so i'm not downhearted but very envious of the amounts of snow people got where its rarely snows.
  13. Don't worry you aint missing much(of corse if you like the rain). Very frustrating night i'm going to sence.
  14. Carol did say that it may turn to snow to near the coast before turning back to rain. Well you never know i might see the odd flake here but i can't see it TBH.
  15. We are all depress because its raining here Typical aint it. It can sleet during the day and rain at night.
  16. PPN charts are important so they should at least be reletivly accurate especially if its update every 5 mins.
  17. Look at how much that band weakens when its tries to push northwards over a line of Manchester and South Yorkshire. Though the green still produce some good size flakes i still can't believe it weakened that much.
  18. And you waste your money on a rader that can't show the right PPN. I'm sorry but all you are doing is funding NW cash when there is no need. I'm glad i'm not buying that rader prefer to look at a free rader supplied by the METO - may not be accurate or the best but i won't be wasting my money at the same time.
  19. Where are you in Tyne and wear? Saying that because theres no rain here ATM. Our chances are very small thanks to the SST but who knows? You may be surpriced by morning.
  20. I'm noticing that the all the heavy stuff(Greens and yellows) seems to not want to travel up north of Manchester. North of Manchester at the moment seems to be getting the light stuff at the moment, i really hope that is not going to be the case.
  21. Snow/Grapuel is falling here now. From what i read on that site about Graupel i think its that.
  22. BBC forecasted it heading more ENE then North and was forecasted to miss cumbria. So to me the band is behaving itself at the moment.
  23. I'm not expecting anything much TETIS TBH, i had my small bit of snow this week so i'm happy enough. And i apologise to the other poster i didant read the rader properly.
  24. Its alot stronger than yesterdays, i don't think it will fragment(may weaken) but i'm still not expecting much here. Durham is a good spot though and good luck. PS whats graupel and snizzle? I heard these two terms used before but i though grapuel is simerler to hail and snizzle is a very thin rain/drizzle.
  25. I disagree with you there. The front is much stronger than the first front so i should not expect it to fragment and two its still heading in a NE direction, seems to me that its start as light but slowly but surely its gets heavier. Had mixture of rain and sleet here(stopped now). Hopefully the main action will be tonight but its depends on how strong the winds are.
