It's been hammering down with rain here in Lowestoft for about 5 hours. Strong easterly breeze, quite chilly. Drainage round here is terrible so the roads are already beginning to flood.

Last one, and no I haven't got a pigeon fetish. Just thought this was a lovely spring picture. The scene a few seconds after I took this pic got a bit raunchy for a family site. Naughty old pigeons.

My first one this month. Took this today at Blythburgh, what a beautiful day in Suffolk. Only when I zoomed in on the photograph on my computer did I see that this old gargoyle was obviously pleased to see me.

Yes I've seen the reports on the BBC, and our local radio stations are keeping everyone informed of the latest situation. An Environment Agency spokesman just gave out a statement on all the local stations that they wouldn't know about the possible storm surge coming until later this evening. It's also hammering down with rain and sleet, which won't help.

I'm looking out of my window at a very rough North Sea, and even though the high tide here was at 10.20am amazingly in doesn't seem to have subsided much at all. The next high tide is around 10pm tonight, and if this strong north wind continues the possibility of a storm surge must become quite high. So if your living like me near the east coast start taking your valuables upstairs. By valuables I mean the telly, and wine. I've attached a poor photograph I took about an hour ago, wee bit windy so a fair bit of camera shake.

Temp 4c Breezy North Westerly Heavy Snow

Sorry in advance if I've posted this in the wrong category. I've just got back from a stroll along the North Beach at Lowestoft and I've never seen the tide as high up as this when there is still nearly 3 hours to go before the expected high tide. Anyone at low levels along this stretch of coastline should keep a watchful eye on the sea defences. Sorry again if this is in the wrong place, but I thought it might be important. Hope I'm wrong.

Temp 9c 35 mph wind from the west Sunny. Sea very rough.

Temp 12c Gusty westerly breeze. Sunny Off for a stroll along the beach.

Temp 9c Lovely and sunny No wind On the beach for me later.

I've added this pic to give you some idea of how high the guys were on the turbine. You have to look quite hard to pick out the mans tiny frame against the massive structure.
