really windy here.gusting to 71.4 mph daughter is stuck on the other side of the minch ,luckily she has a sister over there to stay with she was warned and was trying to beat it just not quick enough 999.9 mb at the moment

my goats aren't really forecasting snow they are normally eating machines ,a day or so before it arrives ,think they are just feeling soggy

really picking up here now ,hasn't stopped raining as well , 74.3 mph in the last hour and it's getting rougher

well in the last hour it's still gusting at 84 mph ,i'm not that pleased with the metofice ,i've just asked on their facebook page about it

nice of them at the speeds we had, what would get one here

i belive you'd like these stable is before snow started

the temp is 1.2 wind chill -7.8 if you wanted to know the dew point is -1.7it's bitter out there so i'm sure we'll send some snow on down to you wind has dropped to 60 mph or so

ok total carnage here as well we lost the horses stable ,we haven't found the roof ,thank god he wasn't in it ,and the front window has been blown out big bay window ,a chicken coop was lifted up and smashed against a fence ,the thunder storm was horrible ,whole sky lit up time and time again ,off to mend what i can ,snowing now ,flakes the ness weather station recorded 116.3 mph ,oh well no red warning ,so couldn't have been that bad http://www.eoropaidh.co.uk/ to show the wind speed if you look in records you'll see the wind speed

our local weather places are saying it's not going to be as bad for us , 70 mph they are saying now no schools are cancelled ,tomorrow

i'm sure i heard our local weather station just say the the wind chill would be _19 ,i'm not looking forward to it here and i'm at work over wed

thought i'd better nip back on to keep an eye out ,seems like it might be a bit of a blow here ,sent daughter off for her trip a day or so early ,travelling with a baby from here to england is not going to be fun in those conditions

daughter is meant to be heading across the minch from inverness ,to get home tomorrow given her the heads up ,it's blowing a bit here already (65mph)

i stopped posting as i needed to get to work early to relieve anyone at work that had a bad trip home or had to cross the causeway to get home we are still at 81.7 mph,i do know the causeway was shut again as people couldn't get into work across it so stayed on for a while ,a few fences down ,

we are getting ready here council has put a warning out ,buses are canceled from 6 tonight , we have feed all the animals, i hope the power does hold as at work tonight , wind is at 49.9 already barometer reading at the moment is 972.0

been very dry here ,could do with posting some pics ,the fire at the castle grounds in stornoway ,restarted after they got it out we have another on the go near gress which is up the island a bit, 6 engines in attendance , we have had very little rain in fact i believe the ness site is showing 0 for this month ,how long is this going to last

it's pretty nasty here blowing at 76 mph temp is dropping is now down to 6.7 with a wind chill -1 dew point 6.7 pressure is on the rise 996.0mb it's not nice we had to rescue a kitten and help out with a horse whose leg was stuck driving about 20 miles which wasn't good kitten and horse ok wind is rattling around the house ,we have had one power cut so far ,hopefully it'll stay on
