Just been out with me little rule and got just over an inch out of that lot.... blue sky appearing now with a bit of sun so now i really do have a christmas card look out there .

Good still under cloud here so not risen yet .

You have a point there Shelby could be right, clouds from the storms earlier looking impressive as the push towards York and beyond .

Looking South West from me over towrds Sheffield can see blue sky and towering Cu you never know .. be optimistic dont spoil it all for us !!!

Can see the back edge of it from here now with some nice mammatus , Barnsley as had a bad time with flooding.

Storm just passed here heading NE some pretty bad flooding at local shopping centre some cars flooded , hail Thunder and gusty winds, probably affecting north Doncaster now .

No amounts of rain like PP but in the last 3 hours i have recorded just over 32mm and its still raining , ties in well with accumulations on NW radar too. S66 2 postcode for those interested.

More active part of the storm seems to have moved away but keep getting the odd very close strke with booming thunder, the last bolt tripped the power for a few seconds..... torential rain at S66 .

Seems to have died a death to the East of Rotherham now Shelby but the rain continues and there is some smashing colours on the NW radar.

Wey hey an half decent storm going off here with about 30 flashes of lighting so far , looks to be South and West of here also here Sheffield is pretty bad. Planes avoiding cloud tops at 28000 ft so some impressive clouds above this lot.

Been watching that too PP and trying to film it , rolling in from ENE then SE with some lower scud moving in totally opposite direction to others amazing sight.
