Been a very pleasant morning here with sunshine and plenty of blue sky, one or two shallow Cu buliding now and temps nudging 17c in a very light and variable breeze.

Cloudy grey and quite cool here in Rotherham by the sea . Not bad eh about 70 + miles in land so is this clased as ' areas close to the East Coast will be cool and cloudy ' !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

for anyone further east , just been out and checked and a liitle more than half an inch as fallen on all surfaces here and its still snowing.

7 cm has fallen in my part of S.Yorks and its still snowing. Just watched weather on News24 at 3 mins to 4 and they reckon it will last until about 10pm here. Must say its great though loads of people walkinh instead of being in thier cars brings back many childhood memories. I'm well satisfied by the amount i've had around here.

Good site that Mark got a cam at J1 M18 at Bramley close by to me.... can see all up the M18 so will see some approaching snow hopefully

There you go then eh Pit EVER the optimist 32 days into 2009 and its a rare event, we got some and some more to come by the looks of things, better tell my kids to enjoy the flakes as its not going to last long eh. Snow just stopped again here .

Excellent here now in last 15 mins snowing quite heavily and settling. kids are going wild in the back garden. Visibility poor sky grey and the snow continues.

Been past The Rother at Catcliffe today Pit and The Don in Rotherham , The Rother is spilling into the fields near the parkway . The Don is quite high as well behind Rotherham bus station and out to Aldwarke .

Just been having a look round Spain on XC Weather at Max and Min for today 13/08/08 . Madrid had a max of 30 but has a forecast min tonight of -2 . Lots of other places in Spain have mins in the low 20's so can anyone explain why Madrid would have such a low Min for tonight .

Got 17 mm here Pit Just up the road in Rotherham seems to tie in with accumulations on NW raar.

about 5-6 flashes including a CG strike just gone through here with torrential rain.

A small storm ran through here around 2:30pm becoming a touch more active as it cleared North, should be with GMG in N.Yorks now .

Hi, i have been recording clouds buliding up and decaying on my webcam , does anyone know how i can speed up the images please or maybe a programm that will let me play the video really fast like a timelapse film . thanks .

Thundestorm just leaving my area was quite impressed by it, lots of lightning still rumbling as i type.
