To people in the area it's not so long ago that Uckfield had major flooding (2000) and further floods in 2010. I think the sign by the River Uck has been 'modified' at points over the years to reflect what people really think of it... Floods in 2000 and 2010 http://www.uckfield.co.uk/flood.htm

Got home last night to discover they had changed all the street lamps in my road to LED/halogen ones from the old Sodium yellow units. Whilst I applaud East Sussex CC for their Eco-Friendly, energy saving initiative it's really dark out there now and it's going to play havoc with any snow-watch activities next year!!

Saturday now coming into range and another major headache on top of what will be saturated or flooded ground from this lot: Those areas on lower ground or subject to run-off are likely to be affected if they aren't already.
