  1. I wouldn't trust it at +24 so i wouldnt trust the positioning of that at this point.
  2. Its only takes the precip then assumes what its falling as based on a models forecast. Therefor its not always correct as to what is falling.
  3. Jan 28th. Was very impressive snowfall around 4 inches in an hour or 2. Along with a drop of about 7c in 10mins at the start of it
  4. It's not just based on rainfall that resulted in the amber warning. The already high river levels along with snow melt are the reasons the amber warning is where it is.
  5. Posting +384 charts is completely pointless. They will never verify particularly during winter. gfs would be better off only going out to +240. Even that is deep fi atm
  6. There has been the odd occasion we get in on the act from snow moving in from various directions so sometimes its beneficial but overall its better in this part of the world for the summers, less rain and recently some decent temps.
  7. Lol i had to laugh at that. Having already missed out on snow yesterday to the East, Last week to the West we now have a warning which is to our north east and south.
  8. Not sure about that. Covers area to far west imo unless things change over next few hours.
  9. Bring on summer at least they seem to be half decent recently
  10. Temp finally taking a dive. Cant see it amounting to much even if it snows though
  11. Its moving south west now. The precip is not the issue for hinckley its whether or not the colder air undercuts the precip from the east before it clears away
  12. Temps peaked here by the looks of it at 3.7 now 3.6. Hopefully it drops off quickly. Perhaps 2pm onwards for leicestershire area.
  13. Temps still rising here. 3.3c and dew point of 3. We need to see temps heading the otherway quite quickly
  14. It will be this sort of distance (5/10miles) between 5cms of snow and 0cms tomorrow i imagine
  15. Quite a sharp difference across the area right now
  16. Thats accumulative since +0 i assume majority shown there falls Tomorrow?
  17. In summary im not even sure whats going to fall from the sky tomorrow (rain or snow) and that sums up everything the models are showing right now. Lots of uncertainty however there is a reasonable chance for spells of snow at various stages in the next two weeks.
  18. Birmingham airport compared to east midlands airport...
  19. 1-4cms by the looks of it for areas that see any settling snow.
  20. 20miles is well within the scope of adjustment at this time range. However i think settling snow maybe hard to come by in the midlands. Hopefully im wrong. Shame we can't travel as bardon hill 278m and beacon hill at 248m both in leicestershire may do well. Bardon hill even gets its own mountain weather forecast Bardon Hill Weather Forecast (278m) WWW.MOUNTAIN-FORECAST.COM Bardon Hill, Cannock Chase, Other ranges of England, United Kingdom Mountain weather forecast for 278m. Detailed 6 day mountain...
  21. I wouldn't worry to much the changes are quite drastic compared to outputs just 12 hours ago. Until they are shown repeatedly it cant be considered reliable. +72 onwards is fi imo right now.
  22. Tonight's 168 ecm may not be a boom but in terms of an overall pattern it is very good and we would be unfortunate to see such poor 850s. Small tweaks would see big improvements for our little island.
