It does make the meto warning sound a bit odd.

Shift southward so far today however the same happened fri just gone only to then show northward movements the day before. Even on the day itself precip can be north or south 20-30 miles different to what charts are showing. All to play for.

More rain than snow aswell. The temps dont look as favourable as last weekend.

Looks like we need a better approach angle really for much snow. Yesterday's arpege would have done, today its reduced snow to places further north mainly.

Given that was at britania fields before this evenings snow id say we have had 7/8cms.

Was looking at that as some light precip developing along a line and with the precip set to move south east when it finally clears it would head back across most of the midlands

Only about 4/5 here still good going though by the usual standard. Hopefully bit more to come yet could see around 8ish

Seems a strange onr its about 6 hours late in coming.

Dont think its quite as clear cut as that any more lol. Still the arpege alone is not the most reliable and i haven't viewed other outputs.

Bit heavier here atm than it has been, The last 3 hours has seen mainly snizzle which has not added to what fell before. Probably 3-4cms currently.

Guilty. It certainly has pushed further north than expecting especially given the southward movement further west quite a long while ago now. Still snowing here even though little shown on radar

It should be snowing for a while yet. Albeit i doubt it will be as heavy as earlier today.

Precip South of coventry moving west to east. The bigger area further north moving east to west. Suggests the low pressure centre somewer inbetween. Whole system will start to move South very soon now.

Snow now heading South in Wales, This will start to be the case further east over the next hour or so.

Maybe wont be stopped for long more development banbury - warwick - shirley area.
