    Snow still coming down heavily here despite the radar showing it moving away, gotta go out in it now should be fun with the extra 4/5cms weve had today

    been snowing here for 5 hours now, and fairly heavily for the last 3, looks like its off up north now though and i suspect it may turn sleety as the precip rate lessens.

    just heard that fast lane of m69 is white over and speed for cars round here is a slow 5miles an hour sounds interesting

    From what ive seen i thought if anything temps in the south are on the rise despite the sun having gone down, so i wouldnt think this would make much difference

    If this area of precip over the midlands now i wouldnt be suprised huge totals as its coming down at such a rate and settling nicely everywhere

    whats your guess on how long this will last, precip hasnt been in a rush since it started? at the same time if its due to turn to sleet id rather it dissapeared as it quickly gets rid of snow on the ground

    If that was the case then the metoffice too as they have warnings out of heavy snow, then say 2-5cms??

    had about 2cm settled since it started today on top of what was left looks really impressive and it continues to fall extremely heavy very entertaining i think its falling at a rate of about 4cm an hour

    Snowing very heavy still here, and building up now, about 2cms of snow since this started to settle, if anything just keeps getting heavier

    it should start to settle if its coming down with the intensity it is here

    No signs of letting up here for a long while yet, the only worry i have is that it might turn to sleet or rain, if it doesnt we could have a decent top to say the least

    I think another 5cms if it keeps up like this for upto 2 hours would be easily achievable, should be interesting for those on the roads :lol:

    This is quite incredible at the minute sometimes coming down like jan2004, far more entertaining than yesterdays snow even if that did leave more, the flakes are huge and the skys full of em

    covered everything again here really is white out there now and very heavy snow

    the 230 to 300 metoffice radar shows the easterly movement of the band

    I think we have a good chance of it remaining, although id like to see it heavier so it settles, house roofs starting to turn white now though, 850s remained at -4.5 for here over the last 3 hours and the temp has remained between 0-1c

    cars turned white in about 2minutes really coming down with the intent of settleing now, stays like this for 15minutes everywhere should be white again

    we could do with a very heavy period just to turn everything white then it would start to pile up the snow flakes coming down much bigger now

    Heaviest snow of the winter so far by along mile here at the minute really is hammering it down, wouldnt be suprised to see it start sticking to the roads and paths although the only road i can see is a quiet 1 which is still covered from yesterdays fall
