  1. I think you have a good chance, im hoping for 10cms with some drifting of the snow.
  2. Whats the chances of the site going down again? wouldnt fancy it considering im using the netweather radar. hope evrythings now fixed
  3. Having said that though you probably have to admit it stands the highest chance of seeing the largest snowfall, altho i feel a large area also will come close to similar amounts.
  4. not that suprising given its location, if the precip had arrived around midnight then they may have had snow
  5. its going in the right direction dont panic, at least thats how its shown on the netweather radar
  6. i thought the first was up to 12z and the 2nd 1 for 12z onwards (read what u put wrong) B) anyway i hope everywhere gets blanketed with snow, have to say the viewing figures for the 627 and 1027 weather on bbc will be interesting
  7. Lets hope so the only difference of opinion i think later during the day 12pm-4pm the heavier snow will be more towards the east and slowly break up over western areas.
  8. Things are looking great going on this run, of corse things will change but i hope it sticks with the idea of saturdays low being further south. As roberts not here.. passes cookies and hot chocolate... and a spade...some de icer..
  9. love the precip charts for the midlands from start to finish of thursdays event, im hoping for 10cms and that looks certainly possible, -10 on friday at 6am just south east of manchester SNOW IS COMING!!!!
  10. saturday depends on tonight and tommorow somewhat so until thats out of the way its hard to say
  11. hopefully it wont go that far north as that would ruin the chances for saturday, you personally should hope it either stays where it or goes further south as saturday could then bring an even better shot at heavy snow for your area
  12. people keep talking about the models for this thursdays even which commences in 12 hours, in my opinion the most accurate way to see whats going on will be to keep check of the bbc weather forecasts, along with the flash warnings from the metoffice and of course the radar The precip for tonight/tommorow is currently starting to show on the radar
  13. Very nice forecast on bbc1 just now, specifally of interest to myself "somewhere like coventry/nottingham could remain snowy all day"
  14. I can access there site the warnings still say they will be updated 11am weds
  15. lol advertising eh?? i have the radar already it only comes into its own when the precip hits our shores, satalite is the best way to watch the system approach
  16. Does anyone have any latest sat images off the system coming in ??
  17. Interesting how the bbc are thinking the snow should be coming in by around 1am tonight for my area and having dissapated by 12noon on thursday. Im also interested to see what the updated weather warnings from the met office will bring at 11am
  18. Depends on your location for many people on here this will be the biggest snow event in ten years or more
  19. Have to agree with you there, i think we need to wait till tommorow before judging the 18z gfs
  20. --> QUOTE(Paul B @ 6 Feb 2007, 10:10 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Interesting 18Z at T+96. Much of the country is still very cold, and pressure is higher to the northeast. Saturday could be another snowy day. even scotland would have rain if the 18z is correct, good job things will be different again by tommorow
  21. I think somewhere in the midlands will recieve upto 15cms of snow, just depends on where gets the snow for longest before it dies away without it turning to rain at any stage, none of which could anyone know until its all said and done.
  22. What depth you gonna go for our area then?
