  1. FRIDAY: Further Heavy Rain for Cornwall then later, the Channel Islands Cornwall's Forecast: http://cornwallweather.moonfruit.com/#/cornwall/4573724902 Channel Islands Forecast: http://cornwallweather.moonfruit.com/#/channel-islands/4573977985 WEATHER WARNING: http://cornwallweather.moonfruit.com/#/warnings/4573724904
  2. A dire day here with some really heavy rain at times. Looks like clearing a little for now then further downpours tomorrow morning. Cornwall & Channel Islands Weather has Issued a WEATHER WARNING FOR WEST & SOUTH EAST CORNWALL for Heavy Rain and Flooding Amongst the WATCH FOR ELSEWHERE IN CORNWALL. VIEW IT HERE: http://cornwallweather.moonfruit.com/#/warnings/4573724904
  3. Well good luck to you all with this event. Hope there arent too many disappointed ones. Looks like home is going to cop it well. Has been a fantastic winter for Stourbridge especially if tomorrow comes off. Back next week but meanwhile down sarf its pelting it with rain and a balmy 11c due tomorrow. Beat that.
  4. Charming! We all know how pants Bristol is for Thunderstorms whilst we had El Brumo the multicell/supercell last year. Haha.
  5. A Weather Watch issued for Cornwall on behalf of Cornwall & Channel Islands Weather for up to 50mm of Rain. A warning may be issued later. http://cornwallweather.moonfruit.com/#/warnings/4573724904
  6. Well, its a thoroughly wet January like day here. Windy with rain blowing in the face and occasionally heavy bursts. Looks like home may see a fair bit of snow tomorrow and Saturday. Might see a little bit of remnant snow on my train journey home to Stourbridge for Easter next Tuesday if it remains cold enough which it looks like it just might.
  7. Yep, 50mm quite possible here in Cornwall whilst the North Midlands sees snow. Central Midlands a mix but I would be surprised to see a little more rain involved than expected.
  8. Cornwall & Channel Islands Weather Has Issued a WEATHER WATCH FOR HEAVY RAIN FOR ALL OF CORNWALL TOMORROW AND FRIDAY: Click Here-> http://cornwallweather.moonfruit.com/#/warnings/4573724904 Thursday: RAIN ALL DAY Cornwall's Forecast: http://cornwallweather.moonfruit.com/#/cornwall/4573724902 Channel Islands Forecast: http://cornwallweather.moonfruit.com/#/channel-islands/4573977985
  9. Well it aint half looking like a wet one across the South West over the next couple of days. A bit milder and we should see temperatures reaching 9-11c widely but a stronger wind and rain cancelling that out really. First rain reaching the Scilly Isles just after midnight then its rain all the way. Cornwall the wettest tomorrow then towards the end of the day, pretty much all of the SW joining in. Maybe some misty/foggy conditions within the small warm sector tomorrow then into Friday, the cold front looks to swing by giving further heavy rain for Cornwall and this then transferring eastwards, perhaps becoming quite slow moving towards Somerset, Wiltshire and Gloucs as the system looks to become a bit of a mess quite frankly. 25-50mm of rain quite widely is possible, maybe a little more locally, esp over the moors. Into Saturday, sunshine and heavy rain showers is my vote so far, with some hail and thunder possible.
  10. Because the discussion in the SW thread is better.
  11. And the pessimism continues in this thread. Taking model runs very literally there. C'mon guys, less pessimism and less IMBYism.
  12. 20c: 22nd April - Grim times in what is turning into the most long, hateful winter Ive known.
  13. I would like to make clear im not stopping anyone posting small posts etc but its the whole if its not imby kinda thing then I dont care feel in here. Sure say whats happening where you are but now and again maybe some consideration to what might be happening elsewhere instead of posts all the time like its not going to snow here therefore this is a worthless, pointless event when thats far beyond the truth.
  14. That is certainly understandable and I certainly would never expect everyone to be forecasting. I think what gripes me is so many just focusing on what happens in their back yard with not a hell of interest for whats happening elsewhere.
  15. What was the summer of 1969 like out of interest?
  16. What this thread lacks is some unbiased forecasting for the whole region by someone. I read through and its just a conflicting mess of, the charts are good because it will snow IMBY or the Met Office Sucks and the charts are rubbish because Im not in warning zone or the snow rate isnt good enough or doesnt affect me at all. God forbid if the locations were ever taken down on this forum to work out where things are 'positive' and where the world has ended. Of course, people are going to talk about whats happening near them but how about some objectivity in here, and a little view of what may be happening outside of someones locality. A.W.D in our South West thread is a great example. This thread isnt as good as it used to be. But id like to say there are a few in here that dont fall into that category and Id like to think those know who they are, mostly our regulars who are here all year.
  17. WEDNESDAY: Spring, Pleasant Sunshine with a small risk of a few light showers. Cornwall's Forecast: http://cornwallweather.moonfruit.com/#/cornwall/4573724902 Channel Islands Forecast: http://cornwallweather.moonfruit.com/#/channel-islands/4573977985
  18. So your predicting blocking conveniently all the way till June? I wish I could forecast as well as you. That just sounds like pessimism. Logical? The weather will do what it wants. It doesnt have to return to wet just in time for June. It may do who knows but the block may break down as soon as next week, 2 weeks time and so on.
  19. Looking like it will be cold on my return to the Midlands next week. Great. For once im really hating winter now. Been going on for far too long.
  20. Tuesday: Traditional March Fare yet again; Just Like Monday! Cornwall's Forecast: http://cornwallweather.moonfruit.com/#/cornwall/4573724902 Channel Islands Forecast: http://cornwallweather.moonfruit.com/#/channel-islands/4573977985
  21. Its sunny, its warm in the sun. Light wind. Shorts are out and it really feels nice! Before anyone thinks im crazy with the shorts a reminder im in Cornwall where its always spring. Its 8-9c now.
  22. Monday: Sunshine and Scattered Showers: Traditional March Fare Cornwall's Forecast: http://cornwallweather.moonfruit.com/#/cornwall/4573724902 Channel Islands Forecast: http://cornwallweather.moonfruit.com/#/channel-islands/4573977985
  23. Did any other places in the Midlands have much snow last night or was my prediction of mostly around the Shrewsbury area right?
  24. It is a marginal situation, definitely looking at the NMM, wintry precip doesnt get going until late afternoon but more evening. Stuill for those who get snow, maybe a or 2cm light covering at best that will soon melt on Sunday morning. Some will miss out as is the nature of these showers. Id go for Ludlow to Shrewsbury as the best places to be.
