    Showers breaking out ahead of the main front between Ashford and Canterbury, any reports in the area?

    Just about to hit 3c in Southend, bloody micro climate here next to the water!

    Not liking the rapid increase in temperature here in South Essex, granted I am right on the estuary. Might be the wrap around later that delivers the goods when the wind turns to the north for us.

    Unfortunately temps round the estuary may do for us, steady consistent rise into positive territory!

    Large graupel shower now in Leigh on Sea and everything went white!!

    Going to need the second band to bring the intensity back and hopefully pull the temperature down a bit further in Southend.

    It's actually coming down quite well here in Southend, dragging the temp down by almost 1c in 15 mins, good signs!

    Seriously, I wasn't even going to get out of bed to look, I was sure the temperature was too high, best go and put the kettle on.

    Not holding out much hope here on the Essex Rivera, Temp of 3.4!

    I can confirm flooding is an issue in Southend, shed sitting in 6inches of water this morning, once again the story here is flooding and not snow!

    I can confirm this to be case temp has risen to 0.9 and we have drizzle!

    Anyone around Ipswich / Clacton way able to report whether any actual snow is falling?

    Couple of showers popping up over East Anglia as well.

    A second band has now popped up over central London, nice unexpected surprise.

    Small band of snow started over SW London, could give a light dusting to a lucky few.

    Big shower coming through Burnham way, any reports from around there?

    DP just notched down to 0.0, Temp 2.8. Showers starting to pick up just outside the estaury, could start to get interesting soon.

    DP 0.3 on my weather station in Southend, temp a bit high but DP better than expected.

    Just done the drive into work from Southend to Leigh on Sea and there is only one thing we need to be concerned about weather wise and that is ................ FLOODING!

    Yes was looking good for a minute but hasn't kicked on, drifting north towards Burnham and South Woodham, fingers crossed things pick up around a line from Calais to Dover through to Canterbury!

    Definitely something brewing in the estuary, could this be our moment in south east essex!

    Wet snow hitting the window screen on the drive home from leigh to Southend. Just need the temp to drop a bit more!

    Had a feeling it was going to be a blow out on the estuary when I was posting the rising temperatures prior to midnight. Well done to everyone who got there snow fix further in land away from the south essex and north kent coast.
