  1. Don't mind these days at all....! the best season - character building 4 mile walk this morning with the Terriers. Relaxing in the outhouse with the Oil Radiator and watching the rain (horizontal) sweeping across the fields.
  2. Proper Fylde deluge. Radar has lots of Red Cabin Up!
  3. GFS has gusts winding up for Skye this weekend. Failing that there is maybe a 980mb on it's way next Tuesday - Wednesday.
  4. GFS silly season starting? 12Z - week on Tuesday - were due one sooner or later to blow the cobwebs as the law of averages go. Also has the Highlands moving to a much colder pattern increasing in altitudal ppn of the right sort.
  5. I wasn't going to look until things (maybe) got going later in the month but Lordy the GFS 12 has a somewhat chilly chart for October.

  9. Jan 1979 Dec 2010 Although I've been in "it" at altitude more times I care to remember. I was born in November1962 which was quite memorable apparently. Worst? maybe last year - I suppose the bad years are instantly unmemorable and forgettable.
  10. 17th December (my lads 10th Birthday) something he never will forget. It just didn’t stop from late afternoon. Snow cover was unmoved even up to and on Christmas Day. The whole area around the fields had that unusual cold blue tint.
  11. Yes. Could see Fidlers Ferry power station nr Warrington steaming on overload all the way from Freckleton on the Ribble Coast.
  12. December 15th 2019 - and that was it over in Grassington - I really thought we were in business. Poor.
  13. Still got this Gem though - we live on the Fylde of Lancashire.
  14. Yes - our local in Catforth was rammed packed as usual Christmas Eve - now shut and boarded up Hard to imagine those days returning.
