    Our Winter excursions have become less and less due to the advancing years - gone are the Cumbrian 10 and 12 milers - still got ALL the memories if you've a day or two to spare :D it's really Six Months of cold. Still look forward to relation visits over in Sedbergh and Oxenholme ………and a bit of lamppost watching now and again when logged on here....!

    CAPE OK it's 10 Days off - but impressed on last weeks GFS models. In the meantime plenty of activity this week to look forward to.

    Watched the flashes gradually head up through the Irish Sea off the coast nr Blackpool about 11pm last night - we are 20 miles inland on the Fylde - Liverpool and Cheshire looked "interesting" on the radar. More of an electrical high altitude storm - we heard no Thunder just Lighting - a lot of it.

    It's Summer it's June - It's the law of averages - and payback for the driest Spring on record. - There isn't even a Glastonbury Festival this year so we can all see how sh*te it really is.Hopefully July will be better - were off to Durdle Door for a spot of Tombstoning Covid permitting.

    What a weekend - we did the Great Gable round then - unforgettable energy sapping conditions. Sorry being OT but as regards extremes that was the hottest day we ever encountered at altitude on a 10 miler.
