  1. Our Winter excursions have become less and less due to the advancing years - gone are the Cumbrian 10 and 12 milers - still got ALL the memories if you've a day or two to spare :D it's really Six Months of cold. Still look forward to relation visits over in Sedbergh and Oxenholme ………and a bit of lamppost watching now and again when logged on here....!
  2. No sign of any "BOOM" yet Only activity at present is Merthyr Wales pushing N We were spoilt last night.
  3. Potentially 3 more nights if that. Rinse and Repeat
  4. We were passing through yesterday. We briefly stopped at Torver watching holidaymakers arrive setting up tents.......
  5. Good. It can stay there Like it is doing now. Spectacular looking toward W and Blackpool.
  6. GFS has a weekend affair only - as for the mid of the week no way - a bit like last weekend - unfortunately me and the lad have to go to Bournemouth this week - wish us luck
  7. Great news. Just a matter now of keeping all the melts away from the beaches. Back to work.
  8. I for one am glad this Heatwave has passed. Maybe give the Dorset (and other) beaches a break. F------ Melts the lot of them.
  9. Cumbrian Coast looks active to say the least on radar.
  10. This. If ever a post sums up the weather - all four seasons - this forum and everthing totally associated with it. Is it.
  11. Balderstone torrential - NW radar has it for at least another 15 minutes. No T&L.
  12. CAPE OK it's 10 Days off - but impressed on last weeks GFS models. In the meantime plenty of activity this week to look forward to.
  13. Watched the flashes gradually head up through the Irish Sea off the coast nr Blackpool about 11pm last night - we are 20 miles inland on the Fylde - Liverpool and Cheshire looked "interesting" on the radar. More of an electrical high altitude storm - we heard no Thunder just Lighting - a lot of it.
  14. Anvil watching - this is the CAPE for Saturday still - an "improving" run on the 12Z ?️ All at T+90
  15. A very interesting Saturday afternoon ?️ should please a few on here. Deluge Wednesday - Monsoon stickiness.
  16. It's Summer it's June - It's the law of averages - and payback for the driest Spring on record. - There isn't even a Glastonbury Festival this year so we can all see how sh*te it really is.Hopefully July will be better - were off to Durdle Door for a spot of Tombstoning Covid permitting.
  17. What a weekend - we did the Great Gable round then - unforgettable energy sapping conditions. Sorry being OT but as regards extremes that was the hottest day we ever encountered at altitude on a 10 miler.
  18. No. Never in December. It's June? We need the rain - all the fields looking a bit straw like. Temps on the way back next weekend hopefully - but I'm not looking that far.
  19. Mid Month. Maybe some pyrotechnics from this? NW Archive I will never forget staying out all night back in 1982 - the same date an impressive weekend.
