  1. Looking at the GFS it seems that Summer so far will be a distant memory for the next 10 days at least - not that we need the rain of course. Least it keeps most of us off the Pimms.
  2. Flaming June?!? Just had a quick look at the 00Z GFS now that the Summer and hopefully staycation (unfurloughed for some of us key workers) holidays are approaching (it the locals allow).
  3. A difficult 2 days to say the least - some of those gusts were as fierce as any driven by Autumn LP systems - branches and debris all over the lanes at Catforth Treales and Salwick.
  4. No lying snow whatsoever on the Fylde (Lancashire) no real surprise there though Few light frosts but not harsh - hardly any ice of note.
  5. Well - I've had a quick blast through the GFS and it looks like its....... Here in Salwick on the Fylde Coast we have yet to witness lying snow.
  6. Nowcast 06:52 Approaching Sleety front. Cheshire Streamer?
  7. Beeb Graphic having non of it - LP looks far too S to have any effect up here - sweetspot looks to be the Midlands
  8. Out with Terriers. Sun is well warm when the wind drops.
  9. The Troll awakes. And you submit a post about moaning? Poor Carl.
  10. IOM shower activity picking up at it gathers pace over the Irish - on course for S Lakes. Wintery showers beefing up - heading for mid Lancashire.
  11. Balderstone - hail - sleety mix - dark skies - quite raw out here.
  12. One to watch for Thursday - Channel LP dragging in all that moisture and cold.
  13. Backing Matt Hugo post - yes radar has the active cold front over Ireland on an E to SE flow - lots of sleety greens at present just needs the sunset cooldown and we might be in business especially with the usual elevation.
  14. Yes lovely that - Can't complain - i've had my fill over the years if you've got an hour or two to spare Still can get to the top of the Kirkstone in under an hour though - bit longer if your following the snowplough.
  15. Worth having a look at the NW Radar - some good pinks forming inland at elevation.
  16. Radar has Irish Sea looking more active - some good (drizzle?) streamers forming hopefully more favourable for snow if temps drop later on today.
