GFS hi res says we will get some showers today but the channel low feature has gone for tomorrow
-
Not sure why but I'm liking the look of these clouds, they've bubbled up very quickly, on a warmer day I would be expecting some very lively showers soon, The way the weathers been recently though I haven't got a clue on what these clouds will do.
They do look a bit "snow laden" and it feels really bitter now the sun has gone. Still nothing much on radar though
-
Yes its looking like a horror show for those wanting some warmth.
Never thought I'd see the day when that could be posted on a UK weather forum
-
i got head and shoulders starting again
gone very dark all of a sudden
Doesnt look like we will get a streamer going unfortunately. NAE suggest maybe something overnight

looking interesting now
Seems to be localised over south london.
Has stopped snowing here now
-
pleasant suprise to see some more snow this morning. Wasnt forecast last night.
Shame about the models flipping to mild though!
-
wasnt expecting the development to be so far south. not complaining!
-
new developing area of snow over north surrey/south london. perhaps this is the interaction of the fronts taking place, those further north should get most of it
-
Could well be over now IMBY. Nothing much left on radar and the kick back tomorrow is heading north of the river.
-
some brutally cold air spilling out of the pole into western russia. can we get some of it?
-
yes looks better with undercutting
-
a failed thames streamer for various reasons. NAE still showing ppn tonight. and maybe better prospects tomorrow. all we can do is keep an eye on the radar and pray!
-
heads up for a thames streamer! Conditions are just right with uppers, instabilty and wind direction. Whether it really happens is down to the Gods now!
-
Finally starting to settle properly. What a shame all the rain we had earlier was wasted by about a degree or so over marginal. It could have been all snow but there you go!
-
In spite of the norwegian shortwave, UKMO still holds the block in a reasonable place but it would be a whole lot better without that shortwave
-
This threads a joke sometimes. Just like the GFS.
UKMO 120.
Fine
Is it? Atlantic on the door, could go either way but too close for comfort!
-
Still rain here. Probably stay that way according to the TV forecasts
-
UKMO has high further north
-
extended ecm ens do indicate the block going too far west and us ending up on the wrong side of the jet.
-
Wow , a lot more than I expected. Front looks to have stalled over us as well - so a few more hours perhaps. Hope it doesn't melt this afternoon!
-
It's always snowing in Yamkinland
not snowing here but was a bit earlier, hoping for a last hurrah later before its all back to normal for a while. Rather sad looking outside now as the pavements and grass are slowly reappeaaring
Also have some light snow or snizzle. Hopefully we may get something substantial later to make everyone feel better
-
Croydon Borough Council have been advised by the MetO to expect up to 10cm anytime from midnight. Let's see what materialises.
Really? No mention on the beeb forecasts. I dont see how we're going to get any more than 1 cm let alone 10!

SNOWING EVEN HEAVIER RIGHT NOW
Amazing stuff isnt. Looks like work will be cancelled tonight! Purley is at a standstill

NAE has no ppn at all! Probably means it will snow then!
ECM says potential snowfall next week before the block sinks and spring arrives perhaps post day 10
