Thanks GP.
Our loss is WeatherAction's gain.

Hello Blizzards,
The only thing I'd suggest is that you might want to choose something that allows for more counties, regions in the future. You really don't want to be switching domains when you start expanding further afield.
If you think you might always be dealing with UK holiday locations, can you come up with anything along those lines? i.e less location and more leisure specific.

Yep. Bit of snow here too now.
-
NAE going with a few flurries throughout tomorrow for some. A few of us should see a bit.

Are they weather related, or from a 'special interest' calendar?

Sat in the garden now, watching that cell develop to the north of Romsey. I can hear the thunder.
It's lovely in the sun. The Buzzards are spirally in the thermals and you can actually see the vapour rising from the soil.
Cracking afternoon.

Massive wet snow now and lots of it. Look out Salisbury.
-
Well I've had none!!
Snow's back.
-
Heavy wet snow south of Salisbury now
Edit - now back to rain. We're the borderline once again by the looks of it.
-
Sleet here with some big flakes mixed in.
When the intensity dies off, it's rain. When it's heavier, there's more snow in it.
-
FAB! Also some lovely sheet lightning across the sky driving over Salisbury Plain which lit up everything in purples, oranges and whites; looked gorgeous.
Yep, I'd go along with that.
We had the lot earlier; thunder/lightning/wind/hail/rain for a couple of hours but missed it all as I was transfixed by the rugby.
Any other day, I'd have been out there in my pants in full Lord of the Flies mode, but it was a good game,so I regret nothing.
There's always tomorrow...

I can see it.
Edit - I couldn't see it with the naked eye, but a combination of binoculars, stellarium and clear sky meant the tail could clearly be made out.
My camera couldn't pick it up, so you'll have to take my word for it.

Edit: jtay beat me to it!
I cheated.

Hi, yes I did that, I can see the Moon in this view .. I looked at W and at 18.45 pm .. No comet. I wonder if I need to put on a more recent version of Stellarium.
Thanks all for the advice. I'll try and sort it. I have loved this application.
B.
This youtube vid shows you how to add it to the listings...

Hi, I have Stellarium on my laptop, but can't see how to get comets to show ?
I think I've clicked or looked at all the functions ..
B
I've just downloaded it and it looks great.
Our comet appeared when I selected 'planets'. Hope this helps.
-
Well I couldn't see it and now I'm flipping freezing.
I was looking top left of the moon. Will try again tomorrow evening.
-
Anybody else comet watching tonight? If you can see the moon, it should be close by.
-
Yes that shower passed through here giving snowflakes as the sun shone warmly, I love days like this!
Lovely to see a more convective sky
Checking the radar, we were both rather lucky.
Hopefully the activity to the North West will make it through too.
