BBC forecasts generally going along with the idea of snow into tomorrow afternoon, warning of possible disruption.

Probably after dark which is fortunate for those travelling home from work. I would put your location in the couple of inches bracket I think.
Of course I may have given your snow chances the kiss of death, keep an eye of the forecasts throughout the day and of course the radar to see how quickly the front moves towards us and whether it is able to hold its intensity.
Ah interesting, I thought it would be earlier and could cause issues, but fair enough! I'm in work until 9pm tomorrow so that should be interesting.
Thanks for the answers!

Looks like we will probably get some patchy light snow or snow grains for our region on and off, the west seeing perhaps more prolonged bursts but no more than a dusting is likely tonight.
As for tomorrow, a case of fingers crossed I think. GFS out now, looks like Essex/Herts/Bucks and Northamptonshire look decent for several hours of snow during the evening, the north will see some but again it will tend to weaken and become patchy in nature.
Hey Captain, any sort of idea on possible cm's for us down here in South Herts tomorrow? Also, what sort of time is it expected?

Just opened my curtains briefly and watched on as a child play tent rolled slowly down the road in the gusting wind... As you do.

Anybody else's radar stuck?
Yup!

Indeed, the whole system on it's eastern flank is growing, just look towards France.

Light snow also growing rapidly over the London area on the latest few radar grabs.
-
The system is also intensifying PPN north of London (Literally on the M25 boundary).. Quite a bit of energy on it's eastern flank it seems.

The energy of the system seems to be intensifying PPN north of London.

PPN on the far east of the system really growing as it leaves France and hits the channel.
-
Also have light snow falling here again.
-
Looks to me like a fair bit bit of PPN to the east of the low just becoming visible on the radar over France.

I am getting greedy for more snow:)
Is there any chance of another streamer developing today after this front passes through? I am thinking the low coming up from France will stop that happening.
Seems unlikely, any further snow now will come from any bands associated with the low out to the SW.

A lovely snowy walk around this morning... Really interesting to see the drifting. For example, my road is fairly east facing and half of it is clear of snow in spots, while the more sheltered side is very snowy and there is drifts of up to 14cm.

Seems that's the main snow for this region is so very much tomorrow? Today's just nice addition.,

Went to sleep with surprise snow falling, wake up with surprise snow falling!
-
Snow still falling here and looks like it will for a little while yet based on the radar. Tonight's been a real surprise!
Wonder if we'll have a few more surprises in the next couple of days?!
-
Moderate to heavy snow at the moment, definitely the best covering of the cold spell so far!
-
Really interesting to see the drifting of snow even with relatively small amounts, it's blowing all over the place!
