  1. Ill go for 9.1c, some very mild/warm spells alternating with coolish/average type spells an April typical of recent years.
  2. I'm thinking/hoping we're in for a good summer this year, possibly if we are lucky another very warm one. Last summer was awful the hottest day of the year was in May, when temps hovered around the 25c mark, never reached it afterwards. Personaly i think 2003 was the best summer i've experianced, and was part of a long hot summer which started in March and finished in October, it wasn't record breakingly hot all in one month but more spread out. Some of the monthly highs we had that year were, 19c March, 25c April, 24c May, 25c June, 30c July, 33c August, 26c September, 21c October. For temperatures to reach more than 25c here is really quite rare and in 2003, we equalled if not surpassed it in 5 months that year. 2006 was a good summer though none the less, alot more thundery which is the type of weather like, and would very much like a repeat. But apart from a hot July it was cooler than 2003 in these parts. Would love to have a summer month surpass the 20c CET mark, wouldn't that be fun   .
  3. I think they were also caught out by how quickly the rain turned to snow, it was never forecast to do so before the early hours of Friday down on lower levels.
  4. No snow here, still rain but there has been a sharp temperature drop in the last hour. It was 5.3c at 7pm and now at 8pm its 3.8c, so its going the right way lol. We are now approching 30mm of rainfall today so far, this making it 6 inches of rain in just 3 weeks!
  5. Had some moderate snow on and off all night, we now have about an inch on most surfaces here and there and slush and nothing elsewhere, its stopped now. Its the first covering of snow we've had since Nov 05, although we did have a thick dusting of snow everwhere on Monday night Tuesday morning
  6. Its picked up again here, only moderate snow but theres a sheer amount blowing about in the wind
  7. Yep its been snowing here for the past hour or so, i woke up to see it snowing. Only light to moderate but there was tons of it coming down about 15 mins ago, pretty much blizzard conditions. Its eased off slightly now but its still snowing, we have around an inch to two on most surfaces (even the concrete) and slush to nothing elsewhere. Temp 0.8c
  8. Just had another moderate snow shower here, snow/sleeting lightly again, have a slight slushy covering on most surfaces but the concrete even though it was trying to accumilate. Hopefully some more heavy snow later on to get it settling nicely, still 1.1c outside
  9. Just had another moderate snow shower here, snow/sleeting lightly again, have a slight slushy covering on most surfaces but the concrete even though it was trying to accumilate. Hopefully some more heavy snow later on to get it settling nicely, still 1.1c outside
  10. Its eased off here, almost blizzard conditions earlier have slushy accumilantions on all surfaces, light sleet/snow now, temp 1.1c
  11. Thundersnow here now, really coming down, first time i've ever witnessed this
  12. Still sleet here but bigger flakes appearing currently 1.9c and just had a massive clap of thunder this is going to be a fun night lol
  13. Can confirm heavy sleet here in paignton. Temp 2.6c and dropping heres hoping
  14. Its looks as though on the lastest meto radar that its developing more snow on its southwestern edge, and is sprawling in that direction as well, next radar image should tell more hopefully. Also i thought i'd post some pics of the snow we had earlier, intrestingly its still on the ground. EDIT: Lol maybe not, its not working
  15. Does anybody think there's a chance at all of that snow moving our way, its clouded over outside and its still -2.7c
  16. Finally got some of the white stuff here , having a nice dusting everthings white! hoping there'll be more overnight, its very cold -1.2c.
  17. Absolutly zilch, freezing but sunny this is turning into a complete non event down here
  18. No flakes here, just a holwing easterly wind temp has dropped over the past hour or so, not got any higher than 2c all day, its 1.7c now. The seafront in covered in foam from the sea and its blowing about wildley so it looks abit like snow. Does anybody think we will get any of that persistant snow on mon night into tuesday, also i've noticed south wales and south west england have a warning for snow on thursday.
  19. This is very hard to call, as i went for 1.9c for this month so was way off the mark. With the recent SW i'm thinking this could pack a punch this month, and also into March, and i think a very very cold spell is likely around mid-month. Problem is i don't want to go overboard again. Sod it, this could be the only realistic chance to do so, i'll go for 0.9c
  20. Im struggling to contain my excitement, after watching being progged on the models since Thursday. I don't think i've ever seen warnings for so much snow for where i live, even when i lived in Blackpool! Am i right in thinking we have probally one of the best chances of some persistant snow on mon/tues as that front moves across? its all looking very good Also in reagrds to 7th Feb 2007, we got absolutly nothing here from that, just heavy rain and a max of 5c.
  21. I think we missed the worse on this spell due to it being consistantly cloudy, temps were generally around 4c by day and 1-2c by night, the coldest max and low were 0.2c and -5.1 on the 6th and 7th Jan and the highest max was 6.2c on the 30th Dec. But it was still a good cold spell none the less though, It only reaching 0.2c in clear sunlight all day was quite remarkable for this neck of the woods.

  23. Well 2008 has got to be the most uneventful year of weather i can remember. But my favourate bit was, a couple of snow showers we had on Easter Sunday as we have had no snow for 2 winters running and its the second occasion in 2 years we've had a couple of snow showers. But other intresting highlights have to be the Extremely wet but warm May, we had a total of 142.4mm of rain that month, and also i recorded the warmest day of the year with a high of just 24.8c on the 11th. Temperatures down to -1c in October and a widspread thick frost, was intreasting to say the least, as well as the cold December (though still havn't had any really cold nights or snow). The rest of the year just sort of moulded into one, Mild, wet, and dull.
