  1. Morning all. I've not ploughed through the pages of this thread since I logged-out last night. Last night was quiet here until 11.30. Heavy rain, thunder and flashes of lightning for around 1/2 an hour. Then, another few fairly large bangs and flashes spread at around 5-10 minute intervals - very strange. No rain in those. Now, dark clouds have gathered again and thunder rumbling around as I type - getting louder too.
  2. Hi all - just logged in. When should I expect to get storms here?
  3. The altitude thing was something I wondered about recently. Why don't we do it?
  4. Hi again - sorry I've not been about much. Out and about yesterday - chilly in the breeze yesterday afternoon in Norwich, then warmer and muggy in Wymondham with the sun. I have been seeing some active showers on the NW radar, but they have been passing either side of me.
  5. You're about to get another one just to your North.
  6. That middle one looks like the end of the world has come LOL!
  7. That's the cell I was excited about earlier. It built over West Norfolk, and I thought it would hit us overhead. It weakened, and I saw it was going to skim to the SW of us, but it has re-awakened and is rumbling away quite impressively as I speak. EDIT: Now raining.
  8. Cell has woken-up a little - passing SW of me, but now heard thunder.
  9. Weak cell passing over - no rain yet, and weak, BUT!! Cell developing on radar to my ENE and heading this way. Could this be our first interesting weather for 6 hours???!!
  10. My word! First thunder of the day here! (Faint, but it was deffo. thunder).
  11. There are storms everywhere around me, and have been for a few hours - north and south; west as well. Nothing here, though!
  12. Southern Lincs members - something heavy passing from your area into the Wash?
  13. Great shots! You can really see the wall of rain!
