    It's noticeably colder here too. I've had many customers come in and say something along the line of 'winters coming' while I just smile and don't say anything! I'm hoping that I don't have to faff around with de-icing my car tomorrow.

    What started as a lovely sunny morning here in Bristol has turned into hail, and now rain with a tiny bit of hail mixed in. Oh the joy!

    Maybe people are tired. it is the end of the week nearly and I don't think the models are showing anything much different than they have been.

    Now now people, calm it with the ramping! We are still only in September. So from all thats been said it possibly looks like a cold end to Autumn, a relatively average if slightly below December and then a really cold end to Winter. At least that's what I've gleaned from all this chatter.

    I agree with Moomin. We had such a wet end to autumn last year, and we all knew in our hearts that it wouldn't be spectacular. Yes there was snow but it was a dry winter in all. Also I'm pretty sure the snow in The northern hemisphere thread started later last year.

    Mines not on yet. I'm not bothered as I have plenty of jumpers and blankets to wrap up in. I also live with a family of Bulgarians so I'm pretty sure they could survive a lot, even their son is still wearing shorts.

    It's far enough away for things to change. But enough of the ineptitude of councils for now ( I didn't think that comment would cause such a reaction!), we have models to watch and agonize over.

    A lovely sunny morning, comfortable temps getting quite warm in direct sunlight. There's a few clouds floating around, so a lovely late summer day me thinks.

    Hey peeps, how are we all this morning? Am I the only one thinking that if those November models came off then Britain would be in chaos? I love snow and all but I think our poor little country would be wholly unprepared.

    I agree with Cloud 10, it is really nice to see newbies on the site. I myself, have been dragged back to the bipolar nature of weather watching as I have noticed the evenings of the last few weeks have become a bit chilly! This discussion makes for some interesting reading.

    Brilliant blue sky, with big fluffy clouds. Mild temperatures but chilly in the shade.

    On raintoday they are showing a very intense spot coming near to Bristol. Hopefully that should bulk up what we have already.

    It was raining an houe ago so I went to bed. Couldn't sleep so looked out the window. I'm rather glad I did.

    I've been upgrade to all snow by the Met! How so much can change in one day! Although I'm meant to be in work friday. Driving should be fun, I've only had my license 4 months and 1 short lesson in the snow :s

    I'm from Torpoint, originally! It was always bad for snow. Just rang my parents, and they say it's raining. Settling even more here.
