METO Warnings updated Im hoping to see a good bit of snow. During Friday, increasingly frequent snow showers already affecting northern Scotland and Northern Ireland will extend across many other northern and western parts of the UK. 2-5 cm of snow is likely fairly widely, with 10-20 cm in places, mainly northern Scotland, Northern Ireland, north Wales and perhaps the northwest Midlands. Icy surfaces are also likely to be an additional hazard, especially overnight. The heaviest and most frequent snow showers will progressively become confined to northeast Scotland during Saturday. Possible travel delays on roads stranding some vehicles and passengers with possible delays and cancellations to rail and air travel. Some rural communities could be cut off and power supplies interrupted. Probably some icy stretches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths. Some injuries from slips and falls on icy and snowy surfaces. This warning has been updated to increase the impact level from low to medium.

Wind picking up here in Antirm, Northern Ireland, not that strong at the moment. Sky very yellow here too. Plenty of disruption already tho, Schools closed, concert venues and buildings closing at 12pm, shops and businesses closed or closing early. Major disruption at all airports with majority of flights cancelled now and most ferries cancelled. -

Had a bit of snow here the past 20 minutes in Antrim, heavy for a time and left a slight covering on the tops of cars. Stopped now, hopefully something a bit heavier and prolonged comes along. It is icy cold outside, especially when there is the slightest bit of wind, I had taken the dog for a walk and had to put 2 big jackets on I was that cold.

Wild today. This the Six mile water that flows into Lough Neagh in Antrim Flooding occurring around it. You would be mistaken for thinking it was the Sea. This is further down at Lough Neagh shore park. It was and still is extremely rough. People got moved away from Car park, cafe, golf course and Park area shortly after we took these photos as main roads around the area where getting flooded and blocked with trees and debris.
