  1. Wild in Northern Ireland today. This the Six mile water that flows into Lough Neagh (Largest fresh water later in British Isles) Flooding occurring around it This is further down at Lough Neagh shore park. It was and still is extremely rough. Car park, cafe, golf course and Park area got evacuated shortly after we took these photos as main roads around the area where getting flooded and blocked with trees and debris.
  2. Literally the heaviest snow I have ever seen just passed over. If it could continue like that for a few hours it would be great.
  3. NI Weather upgraded to amber. Radar looking good now. Fingers crossed
  4. Hopefully snow tonight. This sounds nice. open road at work
  5. Been raining here for a while in Antrim. It's cold out tho and then ground is still frozen, rain hitting it and freezing. Just back from walking dog it was a bit a slippy walk. Main roads OK just side roads and footpaths awful.
  6. Freezing hard in Antrim. Still snow left, what has melted is rock solid now. Some roads really bad here. Hope there is 200 mile shift west and we get a good load of snow on Monday. This is a road that's still flooded from Dec. Completely frozen this afternoon
  7. Just had a extremely heavy snow shower here in Antrim. Almost white out for a time. Gave a covering again, even on roads that are clear and wet. Would love a few of those showers again
  8. Nice covering here in Antrim to. Cleared a bit of snow off path/drive way its thick ice under Neath. Very cold. Best I've got for a few years.

  12. The last few showers to blow through here in Antrim have had a wintry feel, bit sleety and alittle bit of graupel for a few minutes. So at least that's something
  13. I'm like a kid in a candy store, can't wait for it to get colder. Love winter. Walked the dog down to Antrim lough neagh shore. Its unreal down there, bad flooding around the lough shore park and up to massereene golf course. Looks like the caravan park, café and other buildings around the area are at risk now too. Six mile river also very high again and bursting its banks for a 4/5 time in the past few weeks.
  14. Bring on the snow!! I need my winter haha Ive had enough of this rain. Six mile water burst its banks again in Antrim. it had gone down a bit but risen again! seem to even rise while I was there walking round the castle gardens. Last photo is near Lough Neagh, this is unreal how high the lough is, couldn't go any further. It is causing flooding round the area.
  15. It seems the newry river/canal is now overflowing. This is before high tide. It may be quite serious soon.
  16. Also Newry Town centre in Northern Ireland, which just missed out on a major situation. This was just before high tide. Sandbags were being placed around the river
  17. Six mile river in Antrim this afternoon. Burst its banks for the second time, thanks to the high tide.. Photo of mouth to Lough Neagh. Been very rough here.
  18. Six mile river in Antrim this afternoon and near Lough Neagh at high tide.
  19. Severe conditions here in Northern Ireland. And going to keep an eye on this little one to come along after frank tomorrow. All flights cancelled at international airport, flights diverted and the ones that have been able to land have had to sit on the tarmac some for up to 3 hours now as all airport operations have been suspended. Power cuts everywhere over 6000 properties now without power, 100s of trees down, landslides, flooding. Police advising against all non essential travel. I can see why.
  20. If anyone needs sandbags in these areas - Sandbags will be available from 8pm at these locations from Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council - Mossley Mill, depot opp Ballyearl, Valley Leisure Centre, Hazelbank Park, Sixmile Leisure Centre, Newpark Antrim, Crumlin Leisure Centre, Toome House and Neillsbrook Comm Centre in Randalstown
  21. Just watching the news. Bridge in Tadcaster has collapsed area being evacuated. My goodness! Thoughts go to those in the area.
  22. Wild here in Northern Ireland. Winds really picking up. Highest so far - 71mph in Magilligan.
  23. Amber warnings now from the metoffice for Northern Ireland. Had heavy rain here last night, flooding, landslides and sink holes opening in some roads. Some Drivers having to be rescued. Hate to see what frank will bring.
