  1. As many as of us old timers have said be careful what you wish for !
  2. Very bizarre my postcode NN3 under green and yellow but all I had was 2 mins of light rain. Still it has had the effect of dragging temp down to 2.8c from high of 4.5c and dewpoint now down to -0.3c
  3. Whats the story with that LP system to our SW it appears to be making sure and steady progress to our shores
  4. Light rain temp 3.6c and dewpoint 0.0c heavy ppn just a few miles away
  5. very dark and rain just starting temp 4.1c and dewpoint 0.2c
  6. Temp at long last starting to fall back after high of 4.5c at 14:08
  7. Temp 4.2c and dewpoint 0.7c still sunny but cloudy to the north
  8. Temp 3.0c and dewpoint -0.1c sunny with dark cloud to north and north east
  9. argghhh slipping past NN3 east northants again to profit
  10. inching ever closer to NN3 will it won't it ohhh the suspense
  11. All weather advisories now gone from Met Office website for the East Midlands
  12. Heavy snow in Moulton and blowing in strengthing wind, settling on all surfaces, large flakes. Temp 0.4c and dewpoint -1.0c
  13. At Moulton it is Temp 0.6c and dewpoint -0.8c that ppn to our SW has our name written all over it !!
  14. Temp 0.9c and dewpoint -0.5c all further ppn will I believe now fall as snow. Further heavy looking ppn to our SW could give quite a reasonable covering. I would say MO forecast bang on give or take a few hours. Well done them. Would also recommend the many who spend all their time hopecasting read Ian Ferguson's post in the SW thread. Excellent post from a "real" pro Will hopefully save many on here a lot of anguish given the current charts out to xxx hours showing yet another winter apocalypse.
  15. I use my own weather station. Temp now 1.9c and dewpoint 0.4c now moving in the right direction due I think to the ppn becoming heavier in the last hour.
  16. Temp 2.1c and dewpoint 0.6c. Temp has been falling very slowly from a high of 2.7c at 14:15. Dewpoint has been fluctuating all afternoon between 0.3c and 0.6c. Wind has increased in the last couple of hours and is now moderate and from the east. I think this has been a slow build up during the day and all the ingredients now falling into place. Expect the front to stall soon and those under ppn could do very well as the front will pep up from time to time. I expect mostly snow for our region later this evening.
  17. Temp and dewpoint just dropped from 1.2c to 0.8c still raining
  18. Rain here in Moulton Northants. Temp and dewpoint 1.2c and foggy Happy Christmas to you all.
