  1. My reading of the above suggests a very very cold month and therefore rainfall will most often fall as snow interspersed with plenty of blue sky days to enjoy the snow. My glass however, is always half full.
  2. Big flakes of wet snow falling in Moulton Northants too. Temp 2.7c and dewpoint of 0.5c
  3. Be careful in the hills as avalanche warnings posted see http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-highlands-islands-16708391

  5. Temperature at present is the overnight low of -3.6c which is the joint coldest night recorded this winter in this part of rural Northants. The same temp was also recorded on 14 January
  6. Compared to some of the overnight lows in here my minimum of -3.6c was relatively mild. Now lovely cobalt blue skies and log fire blazing - Perfick
  7. Most telling today I believe, will be what NOAA has to say regarding GFS. Let's face it cold lovers would like the PV pulled back to Canada and therefore the American modelling of this situation and how they feel regarding the GFS is, I believe, very important.
  8. I thought it was going to be a frost last night byt my minimum just 3.8c at 03.19. Temp presently 4.1c and a yellow/orange sunrise.
  9. I wonder if any thought being given to all the outdoor Christmas decorations that are hanging outside of not only business premises but also private residences as well. Could these not become potential fire hazards with the wiring being thrown around and I am sure in many case ripped out. Notwithstanding that there will also be debris being flung through the air as further hazards to both pedestrians and motorists. Then there is of course the financial cost as well in having to replace all these decorations. Food for thought I would think for all those of you with outdoor decorations.
