    I have to pick up my good lady from Heathrow on sunday afternoon, who has just spent 3 weeks in Australia with daily max temps in excess of 30c, I therefore believe the above is nailed due to a) The grief and aggravation of getting there and back and The grief and aggravation from the good lady regarding the UK weather and why I didn't warn her in order that she extend her stay until the weather improved

    Foggy and frosty start here in Northants, weather related accidents on A43 and M1. Min temp last night 0f -1.0c. Currently temp of -0.4c and dewpoint -1.9c. Precipitation just south of Oxford. Heavy snow being reported in Somerset and Met Office have issued heavy snow warnings for SW and London and SE.

    Very heavy rain overnight and continuing, has now washed away all the snow. Temp rose during the night to a max of 5.1c and now at 3.5c with a stiff breeze from SE. Pressure falling and currently 1003.7

    Overnight minimum temp of -0.2c. Rain, heavy at times started 08:30, noticable breeze from SE making it feel very unpleasent. Current temp 1.3c and rain now stopped. Snow still lying in garden but path's now clear.
