  1. Me and the old man had to push my moms car off the drive this morning car weren't having none of it, had least 3 to 4 inch's here. stopped snowing now though.
  2. Yes , i would have said so , I've also noticed on this thread there's a lot of northerners and people that mainly post from north of brum ??? Were's the Shafen Midlanders ?
  3. Yep eastern band pivoting and a west movement some more snow later for Worcestershire , Gloucester, so on. (South West). Clearly indicates this on 12 and 18z Models and the radar shows that eastern band of precipitation heading west. lol
  4. Yep , it's back now. Just received the radar update.
  5. Yes that is strange ...... Edit: Yeah i think it is , It's still snowing quite moderately here and it's telling me there's nothing.
  6. Yes i think we have hit the Jack Pot, it's also snowing moderately here in Bromsgrove , it's sticking to anything even the trees which for something in my area rarely happens due to my elevation. I'm keeping a REAL close eye on that little band heading west. Got to be 3 to 4 inch's now in some parts roads are just a death trap.
  7. I know it's great lol ! , only down the road here in Bromsgrove. More snow on the way in few hours. Precipitation is intensifying just south west of us. Had a hell of a game getting home at 11 this morning all i can say people is don't drive rear wheel drive cars or vans.
  8. That's IF they are correct lol , still not convinced how it's going to pan out what i will say though is I've noticed the 12z runs have been the most consistent so far. :)
  9. Happy new year everyone and best of wishes ! :drunk: I sure we will , even if it's a little snow flurry lol. Anyway great model viewing over the past couple of months haven't really posted on NW for a long long time but i think these last two years we've been spoiled a little bit with all this cold weather, even if we that means we get no snow or very little of it!
  10. Quite right , i can't see anything significant over the next couple of days. Maybe some snow flurries in eastern and western parts as you mentioned. I did read a post referring to Tuesday , GFS seems to indicate winds changing to a more NW or N for a time? ..... Cheshire gap streamer or chance of some snow showers for brum ?
  11. Snow showers from SW ? Or Front Stalling ? Didn't have chance to watch it tonight.
  12. Barnt Green is at the foot of the lickey hills lol and ASL/ Location makes a lot of difference as I've mentioned before in this thread!
  13. ha, you can always count on Birmingham in marginal situations to see a bit of snow due to it's location and ASL. Good stuff. P.S No reports up the lickeys yet ?
  14. :) Should be interesting tomorrow, I hope we do see something from this even if it goes t*** up.
  15. These advisories are issued by 1300 daily as routine, though they may be updated at other times if required. They indicate confidence of expected severe or extreme weather. Early warnings and Flash Warnings supersede advisories when confidence levels are 60% or greater. Doesn't necessarily mean they will upgrade the warnings i think it's if the possibility of severe weather in that area arises and to keep the public Aware of the Threat of severe weather.
  16. It is a disappointment. My instincts seem to be serving me well at the moment.
  17. I agree I think it's going to be rain here for a while as well , i am expecting snow but I don't think it's going to be a 'Classical' Instant covering of snow thing. IF it was i think a good half of the midlands would be under weather warnings now and not just some county's Still not convinced this event will materialize like many would think!
  18. I'm also very confused, either there trying to cover there A**** or they don't have a clue.
