  1. Does anyone remember a similar situation around 4 years ago where rain turned to snow and a couple of inches settled around this area?
  2. Thanks for this! Im going on friday for 9 days so this helped a lot. One thing i've been noticing in the last few days is the decreasing effect the low over Iberia is having on Portugal. Its journey eastwards appears to be shorter and shorter as the heat energy of North Africa and Southern Europe advances westwards slowly. For example, a few days ago it was projected for Saturday and Sunday to be cool and cloudy with outbreaks or rain, this has been moved 2 days back. Do you expect this trend continue, and what do you expect the weather to be like after Monday and Tuesday in Portugal? I'm near faro in southern Portugal by the way. Thanks
  3. going a bit further west then you lot and in to portugal! Weather looks hit and miss to be honest with that pesky low to the west of Portugal influencing the weather!
  4. That stagnant low to the West of Portugal will ruin the weather when i visist portugal from the 20th to the 29th of june. No more needs to be said.
  5. Hmm seems to be cloudy over a lot of the south-east this morning according to met office infra red. Although it also shows the clouds starting to break up over the east of the region, hopefully this continues so we can all enjoy a sunny friday.
  6. Tomorrow looks quite similar to today, although the further east you are the more sunshine you are gunna get, apart from right on the coast.
  7. It certainly did feel a lot warmer then 14 or 15, my weather station is broken but im guessing temps grew to at least 17 or 18 after a couple of hours of sustained sun during this afternoon.
  8. Wow its warm out there, absolutely no wind and clouds have decreased throughout the day to leave us with full on sunshine. So pretty much the opposite of most of the winter. Does anyone know the highest temperature in the South-East at the moment? Its got to be approaching 21/22 degrees.
  9. I don't know about you lot, but after a horrid winter full of rain, wind and flooding, March has actually been quite decent. Not sure on how many hours of sunshine we have had but there have been quite a few sunny days and recently some interesting showers including hail and even snow in the north on the region. The weather this weekend going into early next week looks pretty damn good with lots of warm sunshine over the whole region. Just in time for mothers day
  10. Don't get me wrong im so pleased to see some sun at last but it always seems to be hazy nowadays. To the point its not even that sunny
  11. There seems to be quite a lot of precip building in the North sea, whether it will carry on building or die out we don't know but at least it gives us something to watch Looks like Essex are in the best position for it so we shall wait for reports from them first
  12. snows getting heavy but not really settling which is a little annoying but oh well, nice to watch
  13. In the last few years we've had decent springs but awful summers. Hopefully if this cold continues for a while our hot spell will be moved to later in the year during the summer. Wishfull thinking but i really need a hot sunny summer...
  14. I know what you mean, when ever there is a ENE wind then theres always a gap in the showers and im normally always in it. pretty frustrating but i think we have more of a chance later on in the evening where the wind becomes a straight easterly.
