  1. And tbh if you look at netweather radar to my north west and to my south east showers near on hold together but gap opens up over Tonbridge..its just the way it is huh
  2. Just rain in Tonbridge, light shower but its low (very low ) so I guess a bit of a wintery mix up hills
  3. What happened to the pyrenees fella...Cyprus?? Jetsetter extraordinaire ,next ? Cape Verde islands just just to see the hurricanes spin up lol ,then back to good old Sussex : )
  4. Our garden of England is quickly becoming a patio and I'm sorry to say I agree with what you said 100%, if you was going defeat the UK in a war you stop sending fruit vegetables corn wheat etc etc we can't look after our population without imports ...and to make it worse they build along the main route in so everyone's caught up in it traffic lorrys residents ..we would collapse to the where you would be saying I remember when that was big housing estate ..now its all fields again as we need production here ..otherwise we would starve ..and we can now get cold but no precipitation..our luck that:(
  5. It was drizzle light rain for ten minutes at best ..this will make you laugh on comments or live chat ..as it was...the middle comment...I would rather tornadoes than winter snow lol ..cor ..the choice ...like us saying ..i don't know if I like the fog or little drizzle
  6. This must be ivy on a mega scale though.. (steroids) I guess I have a better picture now ..its fat and heavy if it doesn't smother the tree and kill it.. if smaller tree ,brings it down in the wind ..last picture ..which i thought was our ivy ...and as a plant or creeper it seems thick or a dunce of a plant or out of area for sure ..unlike mistletoe or normal tarzan creeper it takes right over then brings tree down or kills it then gets cut up itself ..strange ...
  7. Just a one off ..I've just watched the cctv footage of the earthquake in Turkey and other than complete sadness is the amount of snow about ..yet its somewhere you go in summer and its blistering ..strange isn't it ...weather wise not disaster wise ..:( But then again its like someone living Aviemore ..cracking winter ..more snow than not etc etc ..its here its rare ..
  8. What is it ? ...please:( ☹ this i mean .. its not just a picture ...its horrible stuff ...people freak at Japanese knot weed...this is worse ..
  9. Yea colder.. transitional not entrenched ..high heels or hills sorry up high covering .. if you can help me ..? This is....English ivy ..on oak then background the imposter ..trees in our normal seasons lose leaves to help them with gales etc etc . .pines etc bend because they are evergreen ..this..if speeded up would trip you up if you stood still to long enough ..so trees brought down usually on side of roads or railways is this monstrosity.. so it must be heavy pollen..go into woods few hundred feet nothing . ..but in winter stick out like sore thumb on side of roads and railways ?
  10. Exception to the rule was 2018 ,which if you analyse it is a paradox ,because there can't can't be any rule, can there ,no exeptions ,but yea what a cracker
  11. but they are gorgeous pictures ,post as many as you want EE ,i love photos of the weather ,az is innit ,i see what they mean about the toppler ,there was for a lot of years one or two a winter ,that was the holy grail ,but not here ,yes on hills for a spell (snow) 550ft if you quick enough ,that was it ,so 10th 11th December was more that expected .. for a week ,come on more than normal ,cant complain
  12. Even if the jet stream gets weak and wavey .. in the whole northern hemisphere..no no no not out our patch ..thats them ...steers cold steers hurricanes . Steers the the lot for us really 90 % of the time
  13. Oh right ...gets flattened then ..run rough shod over the top ...and I'm sorry I keep on about the Azores high I should say Bermuda Azores high ..they work in tandem....if one is tugged the the other pulls it back ..thats why its rare to get it to move north I reckon ..one tugs the other unless there is serious stuff ..which I'm afraid is rare .. if we do get a Greenland high or a Scandinavian one its been tugged over by them two ...
  14. SSW is Tuesday week ..spring and summer waiting and I thought the mid Atlantic ridge was a fault that ran up the middle ..tectonic as such ,under water mountains ..?
  15. Laptev sea, is more than likely ,to far this way not enough that ...only a guess obviously ,who knows where someone's going to come through the ceiling
  16. Its a mystical place tbh ..anyone traveling trough sees it as a last bastion of home and its either windy low cloud or sees miles... crazy place , old tunnels ..forts ..cliffs with odd structures ,castles ..but its a portal to some on holiday ..I love Dover..nuts place
  17. Where is st rads ? Whitfield end up on the hill or by Dover priory? I know Dover priory because its the end of line any further and your in the drink lol ,Alkam or Langdon end ..Dover is strange place weather wise at the best of times ..
  18. My observations today is ....can't see hand in front me ... its not fog its a crashed cloud
  19. Just skip over their posts ...don't read them ,it doest take a massive red button ..if you can't not help but read them thats really your problem not theirs
  20. Foggy and 3c in my patch ,I ran gfs out to 330hrs and precipitation accumulation I've 1mm condensation or fog ..I reckon lol
  21. You remember quatermass and the pit ...crossrail upset lots of people .. Quatermass and the Pit (film) - Wikipedia EN.WIKIPEDIA.ORG
  22. SSW is like someone banging about in the loft lol ..you know he's going to come through but where is anyones guess ..
  23. Yea spot on, again not so much bias but whats run of the mill ,statically average ..if some thing does suddenly come of the blue the met have the means and tools to quickly swing it a round gently at first then .. Which ever way it goes ..then we all say cor they over cooked or didn't tell us in time ..like the west and mid states got a fun packed week , snow blizzards freezing rain , heavy thunderstorms, super cells tornadoes , us gentle south westerly then maybe our wind swings a bit northwest but near on dry here ..met office man in the States would freak ..:) And an American forecaster here would say 'ain't worth coming today or tommorow .. See ya next week If then even ,loving it stress free ...
  24. Like a cold spring and not quite enough for this or that just all a bit too late in the day ..you know ?
