  1. But you can see what they can , why look? Dynamical or statistical, you know sort of know how its gonna play out ....ps I hope I'm wrong
  2. but like i says, run the loop ,it could of been a cracker ,but high goes goes go go on to Greenland, you think go on ..no our high goes it grabs the east Canadian or artic high and drags it kicking screaming down to just off western Portugal, dont get me wrong ,it does give a portion of the vortex a chance to slip off down north sea ,but a stiff northerly not always great here top of the hill snow stuff ,4days till all is back to square one ..thats not other side world ,ssw, tele connections etc etc ,when la nina fades east pacific will lose the three year stubborn high ,el nino weak or strong will prevail ,im sorry but the Azores is like s**t to a blanket ..
  3. Are you in it ? Slight north westerly you would have gone near on over the top of me..lovely pictures again.. ..if some one shoots you down ill try to catch you .promise lol you got to give rate of decent per minute otherwise your over shoot Eagle Eye will be more your landing point anymore than that then your in your in the drink (channel)
  4. Does the turbine noise not get on his nerves ..like someone leaving a fan on lol ,great pictures
  5. Miss something happening though or is it just me ..glorious without the heat.. so floats some boats i guess ..not a whisper of a cloud today ..so popped up to east Peckham old church on way home to get a bit of a picture .....
  6. la bloody Nina is the bug bear, the east pacific high is what grating on us ,we all know here what stubborn high is , fore love nor money 3.4 temp etc etc Azores high has always a beady eye on us,el Niño, more of a chance naturally,at the the moment they are working like a chicane ,and the Azores high doesnt need any encouragement thank you don't forget the Scandinavian high or Greenland one is... unless it slips down from north is the Azores in disguise
  7. 15 c in se London today give or take, thats is a shock to the system, shouldn't be should it , not right ,not right at all
  8. No ..ice berg in hells chance chilly with a nippy wind is all we can hope for in se before rain sets in ,one run doesn't maketh forecast i know, but statistics do ..only thing likely to come from the east is one of putins missiles if Boris keeps on ,but even thats a long shot ,?my luck it will come down in Tonbridge
  9. Thats sods law ..I've seen it thousands of times ..I've seen snow turn to rain north London snowing hard then sleet or cold rain for us ..by golly 20 odd miles into par de calais bosh snowing again..but big land mass big cold but its sods law that takes showers much further into Belgium Netherlands north Eastern France i dont get it either ,showers all the way to Reims ,Liage ,Brussels some of em ,but a slight north on our north easterly time they skimmed Harwich Clacton gone ,just like that ,and in a proper northerly east anglia is proper in the way nothing gets further than Lakenheath ..:(
  10. Yea I guess your right got a bit more leash than the azores ..but other than a switching la nina.. el nino .we have a constant..gulf stream sort of certain isn't it?.no oscillating,so its important it needs monitoring because other than a nuclear winter . Its stops we will too.. Ps ..like the old saying ..don't let anyone run AMOC
  11. what makes me sad is the old ... and three years nearly now.. ye old west Pacific high ,good old excuse is la nina , its influence spirals every where...do they know ..whats the azores high secret ?...it doesn't need la nina or el nino ..its there never too far away ,it takes no notice of Pacific affairs ..maybe buffeted slung in to Europe at times but she's always there no need for bigger picture
  12. Happy belated birthday mate, glad your still happy with your girl ...if memories serve me right and what I know now , I would have done 100 m in record time away from her as quick as (my girl) lol, only joking ..cor a gruesome, miserable day and evening ,bleak I thinks the word
  13. we don't experience nothing really do we here (se England) compared to other places (except 87 ) bit of snow which floors us i know ,but we have it good really ,except we like extremes ,and we wish on a star at times
  14. Any high that tries to build north.. even over Eastern States or Canada can't instead 'our' high suckes it down to a mean position instead of our high being sucked up north ,you can see vortex is all over the place and I knows there's loads of variables at work ,but one thing is for sure .. one tries to go north ours pulles it back to mean latitude which is right where we don't want it,we know Eastern Russia etc has high most of time over them ,but I see on other side of northern hemisphere its (high) got its foot right in the door ..ssw maybe but our high is like a bloody magnet
  15. And the only tele connection is the broadband of nothing ..:) Had little clouds float sw over me first thing but pure blue now only slight frost this morning
  16. Yea and its part of the downs 600 odd feet isn't it I have to go over it most days (brands hatchish ) nothing at home at Wateringbury
  17. See Sunday..some of our (specialised) models said that you or just up from you would get the best bit (snow) then 6 hours later' all change 'maybe up north ,north to me is Bedfordshire,Hertfordshire Chilterns don't look beyond what you know lol ,different kettle of fish, but i kopped a lovely bit this morning up at West Kingsdown or Wrotham i call it cracking
  18. No fun though is it. How can we talk about a dirty great high .frost was crisp.this morning. ooh the excitement...if you lucky it will plonk its self right over us .if not a gentle south westerly, can't wait
  19. To be honest sorry tbh met office wangled it to say 100m 330 ft which is what it was snowing at ..other than sleet but you had to be above and beyond for it to be settling but settle it did say above 450 ft thats my patch,we snow lovers always know our high heels oops hills Bet he was in his element ..
