    flashes and rumbles here in sunbury after an absolute torrential downpour at 05.50am

    Totally unscientific but... dog barking - check. distant burgular/car alarm - check. slight breeze - nearly... i'm going to give it half an hour before retiring - work tomorrow!

    absolutely caning it down here in Sunbury Middx, on about 8 inches from overnight - gone very still and fuggy - any convective activity??

    sunbury middx - snow is deeper than my jack russelss are tall, no buses, no trains to waterloo - taxi firms constantly engaged.... hmmm... fire on, toastie socks on, lieu day called in, bacon sandwiches and a pot of tea I think!!!

    Sunbury, Middx - sky now light orange - streetlamps on again! drat

    Sky flickering with lightning to west of here (sunbury, Middx) about 5 mins ago - now gone very dark - as if streetlamps out - power cuts may mean work is definately out!! After a clear hour or so it's now big floaty flakes getting heavier by the minute
