  1. Yep a 'get out of gaol (jail!) free card' was played by Mother Nature last night. Brett Adair was making similar comments on the audio feed last night. All the parameters were in place but the 'slowtation' was not tightening-up and the tornadoes never formed. Good news for many living in TX, AR, MS and KY last night.

Today is a different matter: again all the parameters are in place but the jet seems stronger so it may prove worse than yesterday for the inhabitants in the high probability area.

Yesterday was a long chase day from Marshal to Shreveport and then North to Memphis, where I spent a virtual night. Today I think I shall sit it out as the activity is further East in poor chase terrain - I saw the landscape on Brett Adair's stream last night and it was truly awful for chasing. Will probably take a rest day and head back down to Texarkana and see what transpires. If nothing, then a cold beer and a day's recovery before meeting up with the Tour 1 boys........if only.........dry.gif

Things weren't really tightening up last night so I went to bed, the flu filled brain of mine switched off. I'm looking at the radar now and theres around four tornado warned storms at the moment along that line from AL to TS. I'm not too sure waht I should be looking for with these set ups. Sure when it comes to descrete supercells I've done enough reading up to know what to look for on the radar but now its just...a big sqally mess.

  2. Storm near Holly as well looks good but that storm near Star City really looks to be strengthening on the high res local radar. If there isn't a tornado on the ground there I really would be shocked. Massive hail with these storms though it really is scary imagine one of those through your house roof. Forrest City storm looks good as well, hail and a little hook on it as well...I'm not sure the chances of a tornado on it though?

EDIT: Tornado warning for storm in due south of Hollis headed for Perryvile

  3. Really don't fancy what Brett Adair is doing, the trees are HUGE on his stream and he's right in the middle of that in AR :help:

I THINK he is attempting to punch the core, looks like he's aiming for the hook. Good luck to the guy the storm has reported Tennis ball size hail. New tornado warning in W AR in Logan & Scot County. Hope the people in Star City are ok, the storm looks right on top of them.

  4. Looks like it's kicking off now, cell gone up just east of Meridian, south of Fort Worth:
