  4. If there are any mods about any chance of a new thread just in case our snow shield Is broken tomorrow C.S.
  5. Hhmm i wonder another correction south tomorrow and this place would be Weeing in tbere trousers. Can it surely not... C.S
  6. I am clinging on to the hope that the LP ends up in the Midlands and we get battered by The mother of all blizzards follwed by 48 hrs of Heavy snow showers. Now that is HOPE CASTING C.S
  7. Manchester Airport is only 69m ASL So Manchester not out of the Game C.S
  8. LOL Weather warning out and folk still not happy. Just seen the forecast for tomorrow on bbc and there are lines of snow showers moving Accross the region tomorrow afternoon. C.S
  9. Just back from a conference call at work and the latest for the Manchester area is a s follows Tomorrow showers are expected to turn increasingly to snow from tomorrow afternoon and the over night period into Wednesday morning. The Wednesday night into Thursday storm is still open to question due to the uncertainty of the track but current forecast is for Heavy snow over the Pennines with the snow line around 200m (but again must stress very much uncertainty)on the track of the low,not much detail on Thursday into Friday but suggestions of sleet and snow showers continuing. Like to point out this is genuine and not hope casting and obviously subject to change Enjoy your day C.S
  10. Why? Personally don' give a stuff, but as I am from the NW I would like some to get a pasting. And it' not hope casting, perhaps one reason I don' post in here much anymore, you make A comment then get ripped apart. Good luck with the snow boys and girls lots of pictures please.but my time in here is very Quickly coming to a very sad end C.S
  11. Already a 20 mile shift south on the 18z so if that continues over the next 48 hrs which Is 8 GFS runs that' let' say 160 mile shift south, not far of is it.Blimey I sound like Mr Murr C.S
  12. Would not be surprised to see this move south in the next 36hrs probably bringing Areas Manchester north in the fireing line for snow. C.S
  13. If you want a bit of a snow fix then,Yellowstone wild winter is on BBC2 at 8 C.S
  14. Countryfile forecast not to bad plenty of snow showers look possible Tuesday into Wednesday evening mentioned snow accumalating, track of the storm uncertain. Thursday back to snow showers in the north and west. C.S
  15. Evening Was going to post my thoughts for next week, but after watching the Week ahead forecast I thought best not,if you are looking for snow It was awfull for the whole region, little precipitation, either the models have Severely over estimated this or Meto are under playing the potential. If tonight' week ahead forecast is correct Buxton will be lucky to see 2cm Never mind some of the mind boggling amounts that GFS has been Spurting out. C.S
  16. It is not a slider its a runner, slider goes from NW to SE and if cold is your thing The faster it goes SE into Europe the better. C.S.
  17. 100% agree Damian. I am going to take a break from posting for a few days now,and keep an eye on the Models. Think I am getting to old to do with all the will it wont it That will be going on in the next few days. C.S
  18. GFS is the best solution all round IMO Trough digging into Europe will give us another cold shot shortly after, the ECM Solution although cold at first next week does not dig the trough into Europe instead gives a very nasty low which would probably give snow on its northern edge. If snow is your thing prey the GFS Is not leading us the Garden path again C.S
  19. And why is that Interesting Mate. Think we need to see how this evolves But from my POV its looking good for any were in the Region,I don't need to tell you this but you need to take all factors into consideration. Writing it off before it has begun is a bit foolish IMO C.S
  20. Might be best discussing this in the Regional Threads. Then we can stick with the Title of the Thread. And on That note Models seem to be firming on Quite a cold week Starting from around Monday with plenty of wintriness and probably not reserved just for High Ground either C.S
