  1. ahh wouldn't it be funny if everywhere north of the M4 got it this time but then again that wouldn't be fair would it? Feel sorry for the midlanders as most of the weather predictions seem to be north or south of it going by certain comments on this site... no weather in the midlands what ever next! Surprises to be had - maybe of a snowy kind for some - north or south of the midlands and maybe in the middle too
  2. could be our last chance saloon for snow this week/end then? - those parameters are keeping me awake as winter eyelids are starting to close - an adjustment further south would keep me up (-: a snippet of hope yet: yes I know it's a gfs precip chart and they're cxxp (allegedly) but hey it's spring and we can hope can't we? P
  3. £180 a year is something for me... http://www.moneysavi...cheapenergyclub try it out time to turn the computer off and set the alarm for 3 hours just to save a few bob and wake to see if any snow has made it here (-:
  4. Yup - noticed the gas bill yesterday and decided to switch company's as it was soo high - Feeling that spring warmth might be a wait looking at the models etc, but when it eventually arrives we'll certainly appreciate it - can't wait for the first BarBQ of the year (-:
  5. there appears to be an advancing rain to snow/rain mix ish thing approaching from our west on 'raintoday'.. any body seen any snow? currently 2.2c with a dew point of -1.8c here
  6. contamination from the pigs that fly around here is a big problem.. I'm sure you'll be ok in Sussex tho Great idea for the Daiquiris - the alcohol could sterilise the snow ?... umm wander what the chances of a little of the white stuff is tonight.. i'll be out there with a freezer bag
  7. you're not the only nutter.. here's a photo of whats left of 2 snowballs from Oct 27th 2012, I was saving em' till this summer but the frost free freezer has shrunken em' a bit ..note to self 'put snowballs in plasic bag next time' !!

  17. How refreshing to see your post in the MAD thread - you've gone to a lot of effort there. Excellent !
  18. you are up against me in the snow depth challenge !! and you are going to win Looks like a day of hoping one of those streamers will reach here later /watching sat and radar - http://www.sat24.com/en/gb anywhere south of Barnet (nth London) looks good today. Have fun everyone
  19. yes that is very tasty ! a bit further north and more intense than this http://en.vedur.is/weather/forecasts/atlantic/#type=prec don't know when the iceland one updates tho?
  20. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2635167 and yes... er these things get changed pretty frequently between broadcast and web, one minute it's there and the next its somewhere else. I remember one year it was snowing all down the eastern side of the UK and the TV presenters were saying rain, the meto must have had snow falling by their window and yet had nothing on their web graphics ! Depends where you look.. I always find the sky quite useful in times like these
  21. 2 to go Steve (-: The -14c line is boomtastic surely? Plenty of opportunities for surprises in the next few days - radar and sat at the ready - Enjoy
  22. Morning everyone.. looking forward to the big dipper: all we really need this weekend is: satelite: http://www.sat24.com/en/gb radar: http://www.meteorada...&reference=true (other providers are available!) a view of the sky.. and er maybe a lampost and some nice warm Good luck everyone x
  23. it's in the post very diplomatic John.. you should write the met office 7 dayer! 'possible' is a lovely word - kind of positive me thinks
  24. yay Hey Tom can I add the depths i get in Manchester (have to visit this weekend) to the ones we get down here - or would that be cheating? sorry lauren
