Upgrade alert I do have sleet and rain now.
Yes kumquat I did say she could pick the house or live anywhere as long as its over 200m and at least 15 miles from the coast. Not much to ask for..
I could see Mendips and Cotswolds ending up with a good covering at some point in next couple of weeks but as I no longer live there and im working from Wednesday so cant drive up to friends there I doubt we will see any lower down, just hope i am wrong but looks like hills only.
I had a drive over Mendips yesterday around 11am and it was eye opening even though seen it so many times in past. It was 4.5c in Bradford on Avon and damp and then 0.5c winter wonderland on top with snow even sticking to main A37 road over the top.
Yes I tend to only take amber warnings seriously because correct me if i am wrong but they must answer questions if they put up and then remove or get wrong amber/red warnings but yellow is just a low risk and no issue if dropped?
You and me both fromey.
I am still in denial of this possible snowy spell. I have seen too many almost certain snow events snatched to believe a 'maybe it will snow' warning from the met office.
Anyway we have half an hour ish now for the met office to remove the warning... will they?
A light dusting over Mendip today and it settled on cars and grass slightly in Shepton Mallet first thing.
Wednesday looks interesting but I will be in Wiltshire mid week so I really need an event below 100m
Utterly horrendous outside today.
Looking forward to some cold Christmas cheer even if I cant see family over Xmas.
Surprise dusting around 27th would certainly help my mood if it came off.
Hi Andy,
I am currently situated between Shepton mallet and Bradford on Avon as well as spending some time in Oakhill on Mendip so abit of all over the place (my extended bubble) currently and praying we see a decent winter,
Mullender is correct
