Pretty much the same on here, add a few inches to the amount and thats it. If this Low did hit us and we got blizzards it will be really great, because we allready have plenty of lying snow, with a fresh dusting as well, if we got say 20-30cm of snow this would be the greates snowfall since the 80's . But its a pretty big IF.

Im very dubious atm for that percip to hit us on Monday night, it just seems unlikeley for some reason, probably because i put to much on the beeb forecasts even though the meto have weather warnings out :lol:

Light-moderate snow here for past 20mins or so, settling on Rods and Ground, roads are extrmeley slippy atm, rodes havnt been gritted (wonder if low grit amount has affected Leeds) at all which is a concern, there is about 1cm of lying snow, and around 2-4cm of snow lying on the snow (layer of ice on top of the snow then the fresh snow on top of it). Glad to see an increase in Leeds Members, how much fresh lying snow is there where you are?? LBA tends to do amazingly well compared to Lower elevations in Leeds

Looking like a none event for these parts unfortuantley the pennines suck up all the percip then a bit of light percip makes it to leeds then moves east and intensifiyes how ironic

Its not settling as planned, there are patches on the ground where snow is settling but only patches not general, there is probably bits of froast or a thin layer of ice on these parts, the snow isnt heavy at all (never was), was a bit moderate earlier now mostly light with thin flakes

Temps dropping of nicely, temps rising/dropping throught the day, mainly due to any sunshine, 1.3c atm. Good and Bad- <_< percip loosing intensity over pennines <_< midlands getting more snow percip will hit when its dark meaning snow is more likely to stick percip later meaning lower temps and better chance of snow snow reports in Liverpool, bodes well for here plenty of lying snow over W/N Yorkshire making lying snow inevitable still in Line with Meto predictions of 5cm possibly stalling over NE england (wether this affect me i dont know) Looking good atm

we have weather warnings out for mondays/tuesdays snow event There is a moderate risk of a severe weather event affecting parts of England and Wales on Monday. A band of rain will turn to sleet and snow in places as it moves eastwards. I really hope this system on Monday/Tuesday hits us, we havent had anything decent since Monday , so far the orange weather warinings issued by the meto seem slightly further north than the previous weather warnings, Yeti do you still think there is a chance of a "Blizzards, snow storm of the century for Yorkshire!" for Monday night? Latest output show percip not really heavy compared to previous runs and only just skirting south Yorkshire.

Sorry, that seems very unlikely atm, if anything the percip will move thurther north to say as far north of Sheffield (still not good for me )
