Have noticed that the icicles have started to drip

Had a small topup of snow here in Peterlee. Does not look like we had any rain or sleet.
-
Did anyone spot any lightning, seems to be a blue x somewhere Northwest of Newcastle - http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=lightning;sess=

Starting to see some light snow here in Peterlee
-
Just had some light to moderate snow in Peterlee area just there now.
-
Snow, sleety rain type mixture here in Peterlee. Hoping for these showers to come over.
-
Did anyone hear the thunder earlier? I am in Seaham and heard it while I was doing my class.
-
Rather torrential shower has arrived over the Peterlee area. Quite a lot of run off on the roads.

I find EarthCam is great not just for watching other places but is also great when storms do crop up. Here is a current example in Florida:
-
Yes that cloud is passing to the east of Peterlee now. No thunder heard yet, but a nice looking cloud.
-
Has been a nice day today over Peterlee. Starting to cloud over now from the south, interesting cloud formations too.
-
Has been a few lightning flashes out in the north sea according to the Sferics.
-
Well our storm was worth the wait we had frequent lightning and shotgun thunder and torrential rain it only lasted 20 mins but i am glad looking at some of the scenes further north. I fit had gone on for another 20 mins our street would of been under water. Also the size of the raindrops was something i have never witnessed, they sounded like hail hitting the floor.
I agree, it was the same in Peterlee, which just escaped the worst (or best) of the storm; still good to have had a summer storm for once.

Can see the anvil of the storm now. The cloud is huge.
-
Noticed it was a very narrow band that crossed me - almost the the tail end of what hit Newcastle
-
Storm came over me - saw a few good flashes but thunder was great - still see odd flashes over the sea but too far away now to hear the thunder.
-
Lightning to my west
-
No thunder heard yet but still very dark.
-
Gone very dark over here, clouds going in different directions - very eerie
-
Sky getting strangely eerie - lots of scud, etc and getting very dark to my west. I think I have heard very distant thunder
-
Really dark to the north and northwest of me but bright directly to the south.
-
So close yet so far at the moment. Getting a little bit closer.
-
Looking pretty wet in Newcastle - http://www.tynebridgewebcam.com/south.htm
The wind has just picked up here in Peterlee, getting quite breezy.
-
Heavy showers still moving over Peterlee, no thunder heard though.

Been on overcast day in general over Peterlee with the off light snow shower, mainly snow in the wind. Snow cover has remained more or less intact
