any chance some warmth and sunshine, I must be getting old but this has seemed like a long winter.

Looks like a West is best sort of day. here it’s snowy lightly with the slightest of a covering but for those of you seeing the heavier stuff.....enjoy.

For you first time this winter I want to be far enough north to miss it but Di Ox showed it crossing me. oh the irony

Everyone to their own I suppose but tofu, what a waste of salt and pepper. meanwhile back to the weather, this is one snow over high ground event I want to miss out on but no doubt it’ll dump itself IMBY.

Well that was another wide of the mark forecast on behalf of Carol and the BBC. not a flake here, just plenty of heavy rain and a rapid melting of what snow we had last week. Roll on summer and in the meantime i’ll file it the the same pile as all of the other let downs of this winter.

Your quite low down there so no surprise that most of the snow had gone but up here it is still pretty deep in places and a lot of side roads are still tricky. it looks like that’s probably it for heavy snow this winter although up here we seldom go through March and April without seeing at least a few snow showers but TBH all I want now is some sunshine and warmth to accompany the lengthening daylight. as for Burnley’s chances of European football next season. possible but we’ve a run of away games coming up and Leicester also have their eye on 7th so ask me again in a couple of weeks or better still in mid May.

Not a lot really but some decent drifts on the side of the road between Bacup and Burnley and behind the dry stone walls.

Looking at the radar I expect the snow to stop in the next hour but at the moment it’s still coming down pretty hard. we’ve had a covering from it though which I didn’t expect after the dreariness of the last couple of days.

Heavy snow here now and starting to settle but it must be milder as a couple of days ago every last flake would have stuck.

Still pretty well frozen up here and a bit of snizzle overnight is stuck to the cars but i can see the gradual thaw and rain arriving today.

Keane turned into a good solid player under Dyche and hardly put a foot wrong for us. but the feeling amongst Burnley fans is that partnering Ben Mee made him better and going to another club would expose this.

Every decision your manager made was met by derision by the fans. i knew he wasn’t over popular but......... on another matter, what the hell have Everton done to Keane, barely a shadow of the player we had here.

Aye, after standing there at half time 1-0 down and wondering if i’d ever felt colder at a football match it all turned out well in the end.

Hope it comes off for you but I was showing light snow overnight here and nothing fell so i’m Certainly not optimistic for the blues showing over the southern Pennines. one thing is certain though......the wind is still howling here and it’s going to be bloody cold sat on the Turf for the lunchtime footy.

No doubt it will but only when anything worth getting from the fronts has been dumped on the rest of the country.

Same over the hill in Bacup although the main part seems to be stuck in traffic down towards Mytholmroyd.

Sod the East Lancashire Railway, I want my snow fix. TBH though, I am a few miles up the valley from Summerseat and with more exposure to the east but i’m still not expecting much here. I’m pretty sure you’ll be ok.

Radar shows a line of showers heading through West Yorkshire towards East Lancashire. They only look light but better than nothing and if they make it over should be snow.
