  1. Just looked out of window into lampost and it really is blowing a hoolie. Moderate snow, swirling around. Ab fan. Awesome. A back in the day evening, for sure. #nostalgic
  2. V similar to the blizzards of Winter 78/79. I know it is boring i keep banging on about it, but that Winter is my Bristol Benchmark
  3. Still hammering it down here; v windy. Still not super heavy but, hey, as others have said "It is March!"
  4. I dont doubt it NK but i did say epic "for some" - you obviously come into that category. Cheers BB
  5. Turned into an epic SW blizzard for some. Pretty good here but not quite a NYE 78 or Mid-Jan 87 for Bristol. I have a high benchmark
  6. Prob around 6ins here level in back garden. Yate area has a little bit more elevation.
  7. This 'Thing' seems to be spewing more precip for later on, looking at radar.
  8. Great update from Dave. That radar seems to be showing a re-build (so to speak) over N France to head North into S England later. Suspect tomorrow might be a good 'un.
  9. Still hammering down here; fierce wind but could be heavier. Must be savage on Mendips and Exmoor
  10. I took a break for 90 mins and it is shifting away! What happened to the heavy stuff that was on its way?
  11. The falling snow is really swirling around in all directions. I really should venture out but 'er indoors thinks i'm a bit over the top when it snows like this
  12. Actually it is pretty rough out there. The wind speed has really increased in last 30 mins. Driving snow.
  13. Really heavy stuff seems to be forever getting here. Will it? Moderate driving snow at mo.
  14. Currently lampost watching here. Driving snow, mixed with blowing snow. Not the heavy stuff yet - will the really heavy stuff reach here just on Northern fringe of Bristol? Winds from a South Easterly direction so i think that indicates an eventual direction of the system to be North West as forecasted, thru SW Wales into Ireland.
  15. Blowing a hoolie now. Really noisey outside my back garden - faces N/NE. Driving snow of the fine type still. Temps still at -4c so guess flakes wont get bigger for a while yet. Any heavier pulses heading this way, guys?
